Work had kept you busy, and even though your girlfriend worked with you, you struggled to get a moment together but over the last few weeks it had felt as though she was trying to make that a certainty. Every time you tried to catch her just for a simple conversation, she would make some excuse and kept telling you different reasons as to why she couldn't spend time with you. You trusted her but couldn't help but think she was hiding something, but you knew that if she did it was because she didn't want to hurt you.

Every time you attempted to bring it up, she assured you that everyone was fine, but you couldn't help but worry regardless. Finally, once your shift was finished, you rushed down stairs and to Rosa's bike, waiting beside it. She finished at the same time as you but due to running down several flights of stairs and Rosa having waited for the lift, you got there with some time to spare.

As she walked out of the front doors, she was shocked to see you stood in front of her motorcycle.

"Y/N," she said softly, hoping that if she acknowledged you, you would leave.

"You're hiding something from me," you stated, cutting straight to the point.

"No, I'm not," she said too quickly for it to be true.

You cocked an eyebrow at her, refusing to move from your place between her and her motorcycle, far too curious on the point to let her make another hasty escape without telling you what is going on.

"Rosa please," you sighed. "Have I done something to upset you?"

She shook her head. "You've not done anything wrong Y/N... I'm just... I'm scared."

You paused. Rosa was never scared of anything. She was what caused fear more so than anything else. Even though you loved her and knew she would never do you any harm, she did manage to scare you too.

"What's scaring you Rosa?" You smiled softly. "I can only help if you tell me."

She hesitated before letting out another deep sigh.

"My parents want to meet you," she stated.

Your face instantly fell. Did she really not want you to meet her parents that badly?

"Are you that embarrassed by me?" You whispered, trying your best to hide the pain that you felt.

She shook her head far more dramatically than you had ever seen.

"It's not you that I'm embarrassed by. It's my parents," she stated.

"What?"

"They just have all of these... what's the word... emotions and they weren't very warm at the idea of me being bi at first but now they're throwing all their efforts into being supportive, I'd think that they will be leading the next pride parade."

You couldn't help but let out a little laugh. "I'm sure that they are lovely Rosa, and I would love to meet them. There is no rush though, whenever you're ready, I am happy to meet them."
