Chapter 23:

Taylor's POV:

The day at the beach was fun. But I couldn't help but miss my wife. I just wish she would have agreed to come along. But she didn't. She wanted time to stay home and be with her mom.

I wasn't' complaining. I just miss her, that's all.

I had been in New Zealand for about a week now.

I was enjoying my time with Zac and the rest of his band.

Everything seemed to be going great.

But today was different.

I was tired, all day.

All I wanted to do was sleep.

And I did sleep a little on the beach.

Now my skin was as red as a lobster.

I smile to myself and begin to take off my shirt.

My shorts are next on the floor.

The water was cold against my hot boiling skin.

It felt amazing.

Not as amazing as her hand would fit on my skin.

I sigh and rest my forehead to the tile wall.

Calming my thoughts as the water ran down my bare back washing away the shampoo and body wash.

"Taylor?" I hear a knock on the door.

"Yeah." I call back shutting the water off.

"Your phone is going off." I hear Zac say through the bathroom door.

I quickly wrap a towel around my waist and open the door slowly.

"Who is it?" I ask a little annoyed.

"It was Hayley. She called you like three times." He says as he picks up a magazine and sits on my bed.

"Do you mind?" I say with a smile.

He looks up and chuckles. "Oh right." He sits up. "I'll see you at dinner."

I nod as he shuts the door behind him.

I debate on calling her right away. Or changing first.

I figured I might as well put on boxers at least.

It was in the second ring that she picked up.

Her voice sounding urgent and worried.

"hey." I say in a soft tone.

"Taylor?" She says as she sighs.
