27: Truth Hiding in Your Eyes

Chapter 27:

Hayley's POV:

"Ugh!" I say as I flop down onto Taylor's and I hotel room's bed.

He smiles and looks over at me.

"What is it now Hayley?"

I roll my eyes.

Not in the best mood.

"My pants don't fit anymore."

He smiles. "It's part of pregnancy doll. You get bigger in some areas."

"I know." I sigh. "I just didn't really think that I would be gaining this much weight so quickly."

"You're not gaining weight quickly. It's all in your head."

I look down at my unbuckle jeans. "Yeah? Well tell that to my zipper that won't close."

He chuckles and pulls me closer.

"Come on." I can't help but smile and nuzzle myself into his body more. "I'll get your ice cream after the show."

My eyes sparkle and a grin forms on my face. "You promise?"

He nods.

"Cross my heart."

I giggle and just allow him to embrace me tighter.

I walk into the dressing room in which Brian was waiting for me.

He looks up at me from his phone and smiles.

"There you are." He greets me.

"Here I am." I say with nearly zero energy to do much. Who would have thought that being nearly three months pregnant can be so tiring?

I yawn and take my seat on the chair Brian had set for me. Instantly wanting nothing more than sleep.

"You seem oddly tired today." He observes.

I only have energy to slightly nod.

He chuckles. "You truly are getting old."

I smile. "Yeah."

He exhales and looks me deep in the eyes.

"But that's not it. Is it?"

My eyes go wide.

"What do you mean?" I say trying to sound as normal as possible.

He smiles. "There is something different about you. I can't really put my finger on it. But you're never this tired all the time. Heck, even after shows you have more energy than I do."

I smile. "It's the end of the tour man." I shrug my shoulders. Hoping to shrug this whole conversation if possible.

But he doesn't seem to buy it. He leans back on the vanity mirror and bites down on his lips.

My hands beginning to sweat.

You see, Taylor and I decided not to tell anyone about our pregnancy.

Not even Jeremy.

We wanted to tell them after the end of the tour. Not really wanting to take attention away from the tour. And I especially did not want to be treated any different.

We had a doctor's appointment while at our Nashville show.

Everything was going great.

Our doctor gave us the okay to continue with the tour.
