Chapter 19 - whats the time

Alexia's pov:

The short brunette clung onto me as the sunlight poured in through the edge on the blind. Today was the day. I arrived in London 2 days ago and this time not just for a friendly visit. I was here because she need me here so I was. It was the 23rd of December and we were going to say goodbye to her 15 year old brother. It was the most unfair thing ever so the least I could do was be here for her. We were going to Chelsea's gym for a bit this morning then at 3 we would make our way to the hospital one last time.

It was around 10am when she started to wake up next to me. She took a deep breath and stood up.
/'Come on Lex up you get'/ she said her smile not reaching her eyes. I held my arms out in front of me and she grabbed my hands and pulled me up.

We walked into the kitchen and Car walked straight into the freckle faced girls arm. I sat down next to the other one trying to remember her name. I knew the short one was Jessie because Car couldn't stop talking about how great she is and all the fun times they have together but I couldn't remember the other one.
'Are you guys coming to the gym session with us today?' Niamh asks. Car turned around in Jessie's arm so the Canadian was standing behind her with her and around Car's waist.
'Yeah just for a bit though will everyone be there?' Car asked
'I don't think so Lee' Jessie said putting her head right next to Car's. I saw the younger girl blush and smiled at them.
'Shall we get breakfast on the way? It will be my treat' I said wanting to distract Car from the rest of the day.
'I will never say no to free breakfast' the girl next to me says jumping up and we all went to get changed.

/'you and Jessie seem close'/ I commented as Car started to braid my hair. I could see her blush in the reflection of the mirror.
/'she just makes me feel safe. Sort of how I feel with you just in a different way. I just don't know'/ she sighed
/'well I pretty sure the feeling are reciprocated with the way she looks at you'/ the girl blushed deeper and she slightly smiled. I smiled back knowing that might be the last time I see that smile for a while.

Me and Car got into her car while Jessie and the others girl Niamh went in another car. We would be coming back at different times so thought it was best. We sat in silence not one of us wanting to acknowledge the day.

We stopped at a little cafe only 5 minutes down the road. We walked in and sat by the window.
'Lee I'm going to see my family later today and I'm staying for a few days same with Jess will you be okay by yourself?' Niamh said to the girl. She looked up with a sad smile on her face.
'Yeah I'll be fine Lex is here to and if I do leave I'll make sure to close all the windows and stuff' she said looking back down.
'Okay thank you Lee' she said back.
'What does everyone want I'll go and get it' I asked looking at the people in front of me.
'Just a croissant please' The Canadian said.
'Ooo can I please have a pan au chocolat?' Niamh asked. I nodded and looked at the brunette who was now staring out the window.
'Car ven conmigo a ordenar' I said. (Come with me to order) Her eyes mat mine and she slowly got up. I held my arm out and she liked it with hers. We asked over to the counter and I payed. We stood there while waiting for our food. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tight. She didn't pull away and we stayed like that until our food was ready.

'vamos tenemos gente hambrienta esperando' I said to her with the tray in my hands. (Come on we have hungry people waiting) I led the way back to our table.

We all ate our food with three of us chatting and the girl in front of me kept zoning out. We finished up and went into our separate cars.
/'you don't have to do it you know'/ I said. She looked at me
/'what?'/ she asked
/'we can just go back home you don't have to go in today'/ I said softly and she looked at me with tired eyes.
/'okay can we just go for like an hour?'/ she asked shyly. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it slightly.
/'of course we can and then we will come back and watch a film yeah?'/ i said knowing she would like it.
/'yeah please'/ she said again and turned the radio up. We both quietly sang along to the song and I pulled into the Chelsea training grounds.

We walked into the gym behind Jessie and Niamh. The only people there were 2 blond girls and they greeted us as we walked in giving all the other girls a hug before me.
'Hi I'm Pernille and this is Magda' she said holding out a hand. A gentle grabbed her and and pulled her into a hug.
'Thank you for looking after my girl I have heard so much about you guys' I said in my best English. Car had told me how nice these people had been and helped her a lot. I hugged the other girl and saw Car looking at the interaction smiling. She came over to my side again and we split up from the fest of the group.

We had been here for about half and hour with me and Car not leaving each others side.
/'can we do a run?'/ she asked as she pulled me to the treadmill.
/'I don't think I get a choice do I'/ I said and she laughed a bit. We got on the treadmill and started our run.

After another half an hour we came to the end of our run.
'Bloody hell you guys ran so fast for so long' an English voice said to us as she handed us water. Car pulled off her top now wearing just her shorts and sports bra. I had taken mine off a while into the run. I could see the 4 girls eyes trailing down our bare stomachs and I smirked knowing we were both physically very fit. The Canadian blushed but Car failed to notice it.
'What can I say. It's the Spanish in us I guess' I said and Car smirked.

After quickly changing back into normal clothes me and Car walked back to the car.
/'fuck me I will never get used to the cold'/ she said shivering.
/' I'm sure it will grow on you'/ I threw my arm around her trying to warm us both up
/'come on now Lex me and you both know how much I love the warm weather'/she said and I chucked slightly.
/'come on you get in'/

I opens the door to Car's apartment and shit the door behind her. We took our shoes off and walked to the sofa. I turned the TV on and she settled herself with her head on my lap.

After a while of watching the film 10 things I hate about you in Spanish I felt a bit hungry.
/'do you want some food?'/ I asked. She didn't respond and I saw her asleep on my lap. I continued to stroke her hair gently and pulled out my phone. I ordered some sushi and ice cream for us to eat.

20 minutes later the doorbell rang. I shook the girl on my lap.
/'sorry Lex how long was I out'/ she asked sitting up.
/'about an hour'/ I said as I thanked the man at the door and brought the bag of food back.
/'oooo what did you get?'/ she asked excitedly as I came and sat back down next to her.
/'sushi and ice cream'/ I said
/'oh Lex I love you'/ she breathed and started to get the food out.

45 minutes later all the food was gone and we sat with very full stomachs as the film ended.
/'I love that film'/ I said.
/'Lex what's the time'/ Car whispered.
I looked at my phone scared about what was on the screen. 2:45.
/'come on my love we should go'/ I said gently and I saw tears start to form in her eyes. I stroked her cheek with my thumb and gently shushed her.
/'hey don't cry okay save the tears for later yeah?'/ I said and she nodded. I stood up and held my hands out for her to grab. She held them and pulled herself up.
/'come on then let's get this over with'/
