There are many things that can happen in the span of nothing, living life may sometimes be scarier than telling the truth, in which there is none. Mila Garcia had become quiet after the acceptance letter from her dream school.

Normally she would have danced around, talked to her book character Elijah, but when she that morning placed herself in her best friend Reggie's blue car, she didn't speak a word, no, she didn't say anything that whole day. And when the day ended she simply said: "I'm fine"

Friday morning came and she had been left sleepless the whole night, not knowing what to say or do, how do you tell the people you love that you're moving away from them, how do you tell someone, who has been there since you broke down, that they will not see you anymore.

you don't

therefore at Mila stood in the crowd of Sunset Curve's last gig before the biggest change in their lifetime, she didn't say a word, she simply sang along to their songs and danced with the other fans that had gathered to see the talented band.

and when Saturday had come upon them, she woke up, went into the showers without any feeling at all besides being empty. Her boyfriend Luke, had, of course, noticed this, but did not speak a word, in all honestly he was scared to do so.

As the day passed, Mila got into the dress which her mother had found, which Caroline had altered, it was beautiful. It was dark red, with an off-shoulder neckline, being altered to tight in at the waist, looked like a stunning gown on Mila. It was nothing Mila would normally wear, but as she looked in the mirror. Her curls falling gently down her face, framing it. Her make up being red and simple and her shoes under the floor-length dress, was black and only a kitten-heel.

A knock came on her door before it opened, her mother stood in the door opening looking at her gorgeous daughter. "You look like a princess" She whispered with a smile, she had never seen her daughter go to any of the school dances, so this was a big deal to Mrs. Garcia.

"Thank you mom" Mila smiled at her mother, she nodded with a smile and went over, putting her hands on her daughter's shoulders. "There is only one thing missing" Mila looked curious at her mother, who went to her daughter's jewelry and found her cross necklace.

Mila smiled as she moved her hair, for her mother to put on the cross beside the 's' necklace. "Never forget God is in our hearts and will always watch over you... so please be careful tonight" As Mrs. Garcia told this the doorbell rang.

Mr. Garcia walked slowly over to open it and there he stood, his hair was in gel and his suit was black with a red tie, which he had been ordered to wear by Aera and Caroline. Mr. Garcia greeted him and let him into the house.

"Now, you will bring her home before eleven, no alcohol, no smoking, and no funny business," Mr. Garcia said, having no idea that Luke and Mila were in fact dating. Luke nodded with a gentle smile. "Yes sir, I promise I will take good care of her"

Mr. Garcia sighed as he put a hand on Luke's shoulder. "You're a good guy Luke, don't let me change my mind again" Luke nodded slowly. "I will try Mr. Garcia"

Mrs. Garcia walked down the stairs with a bright smile on her face as she saw Luke stand at the end of the staircase. "Luke Patterson, how handsome you look" She chuckled, he bowed being honored by her words. "Well thank you, Mrs. Garcia-"

He was about to say something when he saw the red dress in the corner of his eye. At the top of the stairs, like something in a movie she walked down, looking like a Greek Goddess. He almost lost his breath as he saw her, she smiled shyly as she walked down the stairs, landing in his arms.

"Good afternoon Miss" He finally spoke as he looked at her, he couldn't help but smile brightly. "Good afternoon Sir" She jokingly answered back as he kissed her hand, making Mrs. Garcia have heart eyes, even though Mila was only allowed to get a boyfriend when she went to college, Mrs. Garcia couldn't help but see the chemistry between them.
