Luke didn't even get to put his helmet on that Sunday morning, as his mother got to stop him just as he had one leg out of the door.

"That girl you have been cleaning the basement with, she shouldn't happen to be Mila Garcia?" His mother asked, Luke turned around rather confused as to why his mother suddenly knew the name of the girl he had befriended.

"Yes, why?" Luke asked rather curiously as he closed the door again, wanting to listen to his mother's words, she simply giggled while sitting on their couch.

"I met her mother in the supermarket, we, of course, had talked before to the last parent meeting, she told me that her daughter had met some rather polite lads," His mother said as she kept knitting her son's Christmas present.

Luke couldn't help but smile, of course, he found out the day prior that the mother of the girl he liked, liked him as well. But now that his own mother knew, it made it all more real.

"Maybe you two could come here after detention, we could get to meet this girl you spend your day with" His mother looked up from the knitting, smiling gently to her son, who nodded slowly with a soft smile.

"I would love to if she has time I am sure she would love to meet you all as well" Luke answered, his mother could, of course, see his nervous face and he could feel how his heart was beating faster and faster in his chest, simply by the thought of his mom meeting Mila.

"Oh sorry, perhaps you're not ready for us to meet your girlfriend?" His mother asked, making Luke blush, as he scratched the back of his neck.

"She is not my girlfriend, Mom" Luke answered with a soft smile, his mother nodded as her smile only grew. "If you say so Luke, now go before she will wait the whole day for you"

Luke chuckled kissing his mother on the cheek before leaving the house. Driving down the road towards the school, he couldn't help but smile at the idea of Mila coming over for dinner, he parked his bike at the school and walked towards the basement, adjusting his beanie.

The basement was already getting better, the two of them had filled hundreds of trashbags already, cleaned and organized the shelves, but today was one of the bigger moving days. Luke had Friday gotten the key to the school attic, which two seniors the year prior had cleaned as well.

"Morning" Luke said as he walked down the stairs, seeing Mila putting the boxes which were going to the attic in the middle of the basement.

"Do you think we should bring the decorations up there as well?" She asked, with a smile turning around looking at him. He returned her smile as he shook his head laying his bag on the floor beside the stairs.

"No I was thinking maybe we could put the decorations on that empty shelf over there," He said and pointed at the shelf he was talking about, she nodded and began putting the boxes over there as Luke gently licked his lip looking at her.

"So I talked to my mom today," He said as he took one of the boxes from the shelf filled with old papers that were going to the attic.

"You talk to her everyday silly" Mila giggled as she looked over at him, he chuckled and nodded as he placed the heavy box on the floor again.

"Well she asked if you'd like to have dinner with us tonight," He said as he took the next box, Mila almost gasped being surprised by his words, she felt lucky that she had her back to him, as she bit her lip smiling.

"I would love to" She answered, Luke couldn't hide his smile as he answered: "Great" A silence fell upon them as they did their jobs, Mila putting the decoration boxes to the shelf and Luke walking back and forth carrying the heavy boxes to the attic.
