One Night Stand (Herophine) - part 6

The next morning, I order my breakfast in my room. I don't feel good to make contact with him too early. After I eat, I take a shower and I look over my papers again. Anna said that at 10 am we are leaving to the studio, so I have one hour until then.

I can't stay focused on my work because I'm thinking about this big problem. Why I had to be so unlucky to get pregnant with him? Why now? Why I have to start to feel something for him? Why this is so impossible?

I end up throwing up all my breakfast. Great! When I'm done, it's time to go. Fuck. I don't want this. I put everything I need in my bag, I take my mask and my sunglasses and I get out of the room.

I should be surprised that Hero is at my door and he scared me to death?

"Shit. What the fuck, Hero?! You scared me!"

"Sorry. Ready for rehearsal?"

"Not as ready as you." We go to the elevator. " I'm not in the mood to talk, Hero. I'm not feeling well."

"I should talk with Anna?"

"No. You don't have to worry about me. I'm just pregnant." I whisper while we go to the elevators.

"I'm worried about you, Jo. It's also my baby." He is so funny.

"Now it's your baby?" I get in the elevator and I press the button.

"Of course! I had a talk with Anna yesterday and I understood some things. I want to be a part of your life, Jo."

"Can we talk about this another time, please?"

"Sure. Why you didn't come at breakfast?"

"I was sick."

"Castille told me she will give you some contacts for an OB."

"Yeah..."

"Can I come with you?"

"I think it's personal, Hero."

"What's personal, Jo? It's my child too."

"I want to go alone, Hero."

"No!"

"We're not playing Tessa and Hardin in real life."

"You just said that I'm Hardin?"

"No. But you are behaving exactly like him."

"No, I'm not." He is angry.

"Think again, Hero. You are exactly like the character you are playing." I get out of the elevator and I go to Anna and Castille. "Good morning."

"What do you mean?"

"Hero, I want to keep these problems between the two of you, ok? Or, at least, don't talk at work." Thank God that Castille told him this. "Now, let's go to work. We're starting filming in a few days and we have to do some rehearsals."

"What scenes?" I dare to ask.

"When Hardin finds out about Tessa moving to Seattle, the one after cabin's dinner and another short scenes."

We go to the car and in less than 15 minutes we arrive at the studio and we go to the place where we are going to rehearsal. We take a look on the script and we start.

"I understand that you are moving, soon. I don't know when, but we leave together and you just leave me! I knew you will do this."

"Why you always think that I will leave you?"

"Because this is what you will do."

"I'm not leaving to Seattle to dump you... I'm leaving for me, for my career. I always wanted to go there, Hardin... I asked Vance to take me there while we were figuring out what are we. I tried to tell you about this, but you always interrupted me or you didn't want to talk about serious stuff."

"Don't you dare to blame me for this!" He says angry.

"I'm not. I knew you won't support me. And you know how important is this for me."

"And then, what do you want to do? If you leave, we can't be together. I love you Tess, but I'm not going to Seattle."

"But why? You don't know if you will like it or not. At least, we can try... And if you don't like there, we could move to England, maybe..."

"You don't know if you will like Seattle." He looks at me. "I'm sorry, but you have to choose: me or Seattle. You don't have to make a decision now, but time is running out."

"I can't believe you make me choose!"

I can't continue because I feel sick again. I stand up and I run to the bathroom. I fel someone behind me and immediately I know that it's Hero. He's keeping my hair up and he rubs my back, and I have to admit that this makes me feel a little bit better.

"It's ok, Jo... I'm here."
