"and that's how your dad and I met, fell in love, and now look, our baby girl is getting married." I smiled to my daughter as I tied the obi in the back of her wedding kimono.
"It never gets old" she smiled as she gave me a hug and I gave her a kiss on the forehead.
I heard the door creak and saw kenma standing looking out in the hallway, speaking just loud enough to be hear through the crack.
"are you two ready to go?"
"you can come in dad" she smiled her hair neatly done up before we put the headdress.
"you look beautiful" he smiled as he hugged her, "Tatsuo-kun seems nervous." he snickered.
"oh he really did take after Tetsuro then, huh?" I laughed as Kenma offered his arm for me to take.
"how long before everything starts?" Kanori asked as she looked for the headdress she had to put on.
"Only a little bit, but Kazuo wants to visit you." Kenma said.
Kanori scrunched her face, "I had to spend my whole life having a room right next to him, I don't want to see him now." she groaned.
"oh, be nicer to your brother." I scolded her.
"you know, you and dad are both only children so you cant really tell me that."
Kenma just laughed, although she did have a point.
"please" I asked with a smile she was never able to resist.
"fine" she huffed, "you can bring him in."

"congratulations to Mister and Misses Kuroo!" the priest announced and the crowd cheered. Kanori and Tatsuo walked off of the stage they were on hand in hand, their faces just as bight as when Kenma and I got married, or when Tetsuro and Asami got married.
"I guess we're actually family now" Tetsuro laughed as we all sat watching the newlyweds walk out.
we all make our way to the reception hall and wait for Tatsuo and Kanori to enter. Soon, everyone sat down and I look around.
Msby and Schweiden at a table together (don't know if that was a smart move but... well, Kenma and Tetsuro said it was okay." The Kuroo side of the family. Kuroo, Asami, and their two other kids Ai and Tomio join us and eventually Kazuo makes his way over to his seat.
There was a warmth in the reception hall as Hinata. 'Tsumu, and Bokuto are already on the road to getting drunk and Osamu and Akaashi are having a lively conversation about onigiri as everyone's kids and their families run around. It a room filled with people who I've known forever; and then it hits me: This is what my mother wanted for me all along. For me to be surrounded by warmth and love. I no longer come home to an empty house or a grieving heart.
Whether it's blood or water it is all within us. It all connects us.
I felt the biggest smile ever slip across my face as I see the couple enter the room. This is my family. I'm home.
