Chapter 20

Hriday's POV

I'm done seeing my doll like this..

I don't have any tests or exams the coming two weeks atleast

So I'm taking her on a short trip

She is shaken up after their words

I need bring her confidence back which she has lost hearing them

With the money I had in hand I booked us a two day trip to Pondicherry with the help of my friend..

She will be able to relax and refresh herself in the beaches there

I haven't informed Mom and dad yet.. I will inform them today and I know they will create a big fuss about it but I don't care I will take her

As soon as I reached home from college.. I went to my room while mom kept calling me to have my evening coffee and snacks..

They were not paying any heed to my doll's pleas.. so I was also not interested in talking to them

I was waiting for my doll to come home from the studio.. I'm happy that she didn't think of leaving her job because of what they spoke..

She came home at the usual time

I rushed into her room as soon as she came and hugged her "Doll doll doll"

She smiled a little at my excitement "What happened Hridu"

I smiled looking at her "We are going to Pondy for two days"

She looked at me surprised "Really Maa and Paa agreed.. they are not angry on me anymore.. we all are going", she looked at me hopefully

I rolled my eyes "We.. as in you and me doll.."

Her eyes which had brightened in hope became dull again "No Hridu.. that would make them even more angrier.. let it be"

Oh god this sister of mine..

Why doesn't she understand.. she can't stop living because of them..

"Look doll I'm not asking you.. I'm telling you that we are going.. okay.. I have arranged everything.. and now we are going to inform them.."

She kept saying 'No' but I dragged her along to the living room

Mom and dad were sitting in the living room

I went to them holding her hand "Mom dad.. me and Sahana are going to Pondy for two days"

Dad looked at us.. she kept pleading me with her eyes but I paid no heed..

She needs refresh herself and I would make her do that

"She asked you to do that Hriday?", Dad asked

"If you want to go you can.. she isn't going anywhere..", mom said

I rolled my eyes at them "She didn't ask me to dad.. and mom I just informed you that we are going.. I'm taking my sister along"

Mom looked her "She isn't going anywhere.. we don't trust her.. you don't know anything Hriday.. you are still a kid.. all this is acting to get what she wants.. but it's not happening.. she is going to get married to the we have decided.. she has been let to go to work only because your dad is ready to drop her and pick her up daily.. and if she goes on this trip.. she might even go with that guy and cause even more embarrassment.. so don't take her along"

My doll kept looking down when she shouldn't be.. she has not done anything wrong for God sake.. why are our parents blind..

Why can't they see the way she is hurting because of them.. her eyes.. if they see her eyes it will show them all the pain she is feeling.. all the hurt she is feeling
