-THIRTEEN YEARS LATER-
I wake up with a pounding headache.
Dahlia had the most stupid idea last night.
Matteo was out with the kids having some father-daughter time. Lori and I decided to invite Dahlia and Nairobi over for fun because what else would we do?
"Gosh, I'm so bored." Lori groans. "It's weird."
"Shut up, I don't want to hear any more complaining," Nai says in a stern voice. "You will all sit here quietly and watch frozen."
It's silent for a moment until Nai rolls her eyes and shuts off the T.V. "Okay, fine. Where do we want to go?"
"Let's go party." Lori grins.
"Bet." Dahl shrugs as she stands.
"Wouldn't that be all over TMZ the next morning?" I ask. Apparently, I'm the only logical one in this friend group. Along with Nai.
"Paparazzi will probably be waiting outside when we're finished, too." Nai reminds us that we're celebrities. She always does this when we come up with a dumb idea... and for some reason, we always follow through with our dumb ideas.
"I'll take that as a group yes." Lori stands as well, already heading upstairs to find us all outfits.
"I can't wait 'til we're all hot and sexy dancing on each other." Dahl grins.
Nai and I both sigh as we follow their racing asses up the stairs.
Lori opens up her walk-in closet and no matter how many times I see it, I'll always stop to stare in awe. There's beautiful golden lighting mixed with the various scents and lights from candles and glass doors to all the different sections of her closet. It looks straight from a fairytale, I don't understand how she maintains it.
Dahl and Lor immediately begin pulling out dresses of different fabrics, colors, and styles. When we decide to go out at night, Dahlia doesn't let any of us look bored. She makes sure we're all colorful and styled like dolls. It might be an obsession.
After about an hour of trying on dresses, we've narrowed it down to four pink ones all designed differently. For mine, I chose a glittery blush color with diamond straps and a diamond choker. My heels were matching as well thanks to Lori's search for these specific ones as soon as she saw my dress.
Lori is dressed in rose gold with a sewn-in corset. The corset is sparkly and the rest of the dress is silk. It reaches her mid-thigh and I hope Matteo doesn't see her on the news tonight because he'd be pissed he wasn't there to get a VIP performance.
