Ocean Eyes- LN4

Chapter 17- Sunday

Lewis and Seb were all sitting at a table in a dark corner of the restaurant having a "catch up meal" when Lando came in with Ezra. Neither of them noticed the two men who took a keen interest in them.

SV- Lewis, do you know who that is with Lando
LH- Yes, that's Ezra-Phoenix Leclerc, ferraris new strategist and aslo Charles's younger brother
SV- Huh, I've never heard Charles talk about him before
LH- Yeah, from what I've heard, Charles has only just recently met him
SV- Ah, that makes sense also is it just me or does Lando look really in love
LH- Oh yeah, Lando is head over heals in love with Ezra
SV- Are they dating then
LH- Not as far as I'm aware
SV- Why not
LH- You know Lando, he won't believe someone's in love with him until they literally propose to him
SV- You do have a point, but what about Ezra, why hasn't he told Lando that he's in love with him, it's so obvious
LH- I think him and Charles share the same gene
SV- Oh right, yeah he definitely won't have told Lando then

Over on the other side of the restaurant, Lando and Ezra had sat down at a table, both of them wishing that it was a date but neither or them mentioning anything to the other one.

'Whats up Lando'
'It's just I really feel like I've let down my entire team'
'But it's not your fault'
'I know but it doesn't stop the feeling that I've let them down'
'You are the best driver this season, so you definitely haven't let them down'
'Thanks Ezra'
'Now, what do you want to eat'
'I'll have steak and chips I think, with corn on the cob'
'And I will have the same as you, it sounds very nice'
'It is, usually'
'That's good, I shall go up and order then'
'Okay, I'm just gonna go to the toilet'
'Okay'

Ezra went up and ordered the food whilst Lando went to find the bathroom. To go to the bathroom he had to go past the table that the other drivers were sitting at and stopped to talk to them on his way past.

LN- Oh hey guys, what are you doing here
SV- We're having a catch up meeting, anyway how is your date going
LN- Erm, its not a date, we're just friends
SV- It sure doesn't look like it
LN- What do you mean
LH- Lando, I'm pretty sure that Ezra is in love with you
SV- Yeah, it's pretty obvious to see, just ask him on a date
LN- Yeah but what if he rejects me, and I lose his friendship, I can't allow that
LH- Well sometimes it's a risk that you have to take
LN- Anyway see you guys later

Lando went to the bathroom and made his way back over to where Ezra was sitting, still not believing the others that he may be in love with him. The dinner went well and they just made a bit of small talk before they paid and left. Ezra ordered a taxi and it took them back to Lando's hotel, Lando got out and said goodbye to Ezra, and Ezra then made his way back to his hotel. Lando went into the hotel thinking about what Lewis and Seb had said to him earlier. Wondering if they were in fact speaking the truth. He went to bed though, feeling happier than he was earlier that day.
