Chapter 18- Monday

Oscar woke up on Monday morning and was heading downstairs to the communal area of the hotel when he bumped into a very cheery Lando.

'Hey, what's up with you this morning'
'What do you mean'
'You seem very happy, where did you go yesterday'
'Erm, Ezra invited me out for dinner to cheer me up'
'Ooooo, was it a date'
'No, why does everybody think that we are dating'
'Because you are clearly in love with eachother'
'I mean I'm in love with him, but I don't think that he loves me back though'
'Well I'm pretty sure that he does'
'Everybody keeps saying that as well'
'Because its true'
'Are you sure'
'Yes, you need to tell him'
'Urm maybe, anyway do you want to come and play FIFA with me'
'Okay, your on and I'm gonna win'
'Let's see about that'

Oscar and Lando made their way back to Lando's hotel room where they set up the PlayStation. Oscar also ordered room service for them and Lando invited Charles, George, Alex, Max, Mick and Nyck over to have a FIFA tournament. It was a very friendly affair with a ton of food ordered up to the room. Lando played Charles in his first game and managed to beat him. He was set to play Nyck in the next round who had beaten Mick to get through. Oscar beat George and was set to play Alex who beat Max on penalties. Nyck knocked out Lando in the next round and had booked himself a place in the final. It was a tight game between Oscar and Alex but Oscar managed to beat Alex on penalties 5-4. Max and Mick decided to go on commentary duties for the final

MV- Okay, so for a chance to win the tournament its Nyck versus Oscar
MS- Yes, this is set to be an exciting game, two very evenly matched players
MV- So Mick, what are your predictions for the game ahead
MS- Well Max I feel that Nyck might just scrape the win, perhaps a win on penalties
MV- Okay that's a bold prediction
MS- So Max, what are your thoughts on who is going to win
MV- I think that Oscar has a good shot at winning but I think the same as you, I think that it's going to go down to penalties
MS- Okay, let's wait and see
MV- The teams are coming out and it's a strong side picked by both sides
MS- The game has kicked off and it is a strong start by Oscar
MV- He's through on goal and oh what a massive save by the keeper to keep it at nil- nil
MS- Now Nyck takes it straight down the other end, oh what a goal
MV- Nyck scores to put him ahead one-nil
MS- Now we go into half time with Oscar one- nil down against Nyck, he has a lot to do to win the final, Max
MV- Yes indeed Mick, we are in for a terrific second half
MS- The players come back our onto the pitch and Nyck kicks off
MV- Oscar immediately nicks the ball off him and heads down to the goal 
MS- But the keeper pulls off another fabulous save, I think he's heading for man of the match
MV- I agree Mick but it is a very end to end game
MS- A lot of good defending being shown by both teams
MV- And that's it, the final whistle has gone, Nyck de Vries is the champion
MS- What a dark horse
MV- So Nyck how do you feel
NV- I think that is a great achievement and I want to say that Oscar put up an extremely good defense

Everybody started laughing and were all in a good mood after having a lighthearted FIFA tournament.
