Ae returned back to the bed while sliding inside the duvet and scooting closer to Pete. He wrapped his arm around the fragile body pulling him closer against his chest and inquired, "Are you in pain?" Pete smiled while answering in a soft voice, "I am fine khrab..."

Ae planted a soft kiss on his shoulder while sighing in content. This was the most beautiful night of their lives. "I love you Pete...." Ae said. "I love you too Ae...." Pete replied. Ae pulled Pete, turning him around so that he could see that beautiful face.

He could see the marks blooming into purple colour covering the neck. His hands trailed over the marks feeling proud about his artwork and more about having claimed this person to be his. He leaned closer planting a soft kiss on the neck which made Pete shudder. Ae pulled away knowing that Pete would be in pain after their first time.

"Go to sleep... You must be tired." Ae said while gently caressing those cheeks. Pete smiled at him while wishing him a soft 'good night' in his sweet voice that made Ae feel satisfied. He pulled Pete against his chest while closing his eyes.

Pete let himself sink into the warmth while closing his eyes and resting his head against Ae's chest listening to his heartbeat. This was the night when they finally were bound to each other and a night that marked the beginning of their new life. But since they are back at palace, things were going to change. But happiness comes with a cost and what was the cost that Ae and Pete would have to pay?

The emperor and the empress were left in a shock at the arrival of Oraphin who was the least expected ones. Though the woman showed no threat at the moment, she still seemed to be a potential danger for the princes. The empress could already smell something fishy going on and made sure to have people keep an eye on the woman. Ae too after having spoken to Pete made sure that Oraphin is watched like hawk for her moves.

"I don't feel this right..." the empress said as she sat on the couch massaging her temples. "Love... It's just because she showed up after long time that you are suspecting her..." the emperor replied. "No.... It's not that... did you notice the way she spoke... It's clear that she still holds grudges." The empress said. "Emon, it's been years and maybe she has been staying with people who are used to speaking like that. You don't have to suspect her just because of past." The emperor tried to explain.

"It's not the past Akhom... Why did she come when things were falling in place? Where was she when we were going through the troubles?? All these attacks, unknown enemies and then when we found the culprit, and everything is falling in place, she is here... Don't you feel something is wrong?" Emon asked.

"Love... Maybe she was staying away just because of the troubles?" Akhom tried to point out. "NO!! It's not.... She is after something... We should better watch out for potential danger. I can smell something coming up. It's not the same anymore Akhom... Not the same..." Emon was lost in the thoughts from her past when she, Akom and Oraphin had known each other. Where Emon was the princess while Oraphin was the daughter of Duke, they both have been close to Akhom but in the end Akhom chose Emon over Oraphin. Though Oraphin thought that it was going to be her who would marry Akhom since he was close to her, but things changed when Akhom felt in love with Emon and chose to marry her. When the marriage announcement was made, Oraphin's family disappeared without even a trace. No one knew where they went and what happened to them. It was all mysterious till the day, Oraphin, herself showed up.

"Love, what happened in past shouldn't affect your decisions. But if you are feeling uneasy, we can have people watching over her. I will make sure that she is been watched thoroughly." Akhom assured. "That would be better. I am just worried for our sons... I don't want them to get hurt... Nor Ae, nor Satra and never ever Pete... they deserve all the happiness." She said.
