"Stop running. It's not that big of a deal."

"You're losing a lot of blood fast. This isn't good, Ghost."

We hurried through the halls and I pushed open the doors.

The sunlight burned my pupils as we made it out.

"Come on!"

He was getting heavier.

I pulled open the car door and helped him in.

"Lay on the floor."

"What?"

"Do it. And here, I'll help you take off your layers."

It took way to long to get his gear and shirt off.

I ran to get the first aid kit and popped it open.

"Give me your arm."

I yanked his arm to myself and cleaned off both our inner elbows before inserting the needle. I watched my blood flow through the pipe and enter Ghost's arm.

"Stay still. I need to get the bullet out."

"Do you know how to do any of this?"

"I use to stitch myself up plenty of times."

"It's very convenient that you're O negative."

"I know right?"

Ghost let out a pained sigh and I dug around for the bullet.

"Got it!" I slowly pulled it out and got my thread and needle ready. "This is gonna hurt."

I began to sew his wound up when I heard running.

"Shit!" I passed the needle to Ghost and picked up his gun, pointing it at the door.

My heart was thumping against my chest as the steps got closer.

"YN, status?"

"We're in the truck."

"Good. We're right outside."

The doors opens and Price appeared with Soap and Gaz.

They stared at the gun then glanced at me.

"Whoa there, kid. Put that down."

I let out a sigh as I carefully placed down the firearm.

"I thought you were the other guys." I said sanitizing the needle again and going back to stitching Ghost up. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine."

"Ghost, I can't help you if you lie."

"How do you know I'm lying?"

"Because you're a little bitch."

"Watch your mouth."

"No bitch. Tell me how you feel."

"...tired."

Price let out a chuckle as he looked Ghost over.

"What's so funny, grandpa?"

"Nothing nothing. It's just different seeing Ghost like this."

"Like how? Injured?"

"Never mind, kid. Can you work on the bumpy road?"

"I'm basically done."

"You're quick."

I cut the thread and began to wrap bandages around his shoulder.

Price got into the driver seat and drove the large truck away from the now abandoned building.

"So how did it happen?" Gaz asked sitting next to Soap.

"I got distracted. I didn't see the gun men and Ghost tackled me. He must have taken a bullet on the way down. Oh, thank you by the way." I looked down at the red filled pipe. "You didn't have to."

"I only did it because if you died, you wouldn't live out your punishment."

"Give me my blood back!"

Price laughed and we all looked at him confused.

"Ignore me."

"You're welcome."

I glanced at Ghost

"Be more careful next time..." he looked away from me and I tilted my head.

"Okay."
