125. Ma!

"Ma!"

It's been a few months.

Kiara learned to walk and speak a few words.

We're still living on base.

"Ma ma ma ma ma. Dada!" Kiara clapped and walked towards us.

"What is it my baby?"

"Ma!" She pointed at me.

"Yeah, ma!" I smiled.

"Bye bye mama."

She tried to push me away from Simon.

"Bye!" She shouted and I moved over on the couch where we sat.

She climbed up with his help and climbed into his lap.

Soap laughed as she hugged her dad.

Price sipped his tea and smiled while Gaz changed Cosmo's diaper.

He was the least joyful of the bunch.

Starla was sleeping peacefully in my arms and I was finally awake calm.

Konig has stayed away.

I use to have panic attacks wherever Ghost would leave to go check on the house but I've calmed down now.

Not everything is perfect but I know whatever comes our way, we can handle it.

I leaned over and kissed Ghost on the lips.

Kiara screamed and pushed me away causing everyone to laugh.

I love my family.

All my family.

(This was originally where I ended the book but I didn't like it so yeah.)

Ghost kissed my cheek and I looked back at him.

"Are you ready?"

I nodded and we stood up.

"Are you sure you want to leave? We don't mind having you guys live on base for longer." Price stood up and we all followed suit.

After washing his hands, Gaz handed Cosmos to Simon.

"We need to move back in. I can't keep living in fear like this. And my kids need a real home." I took a shaky breath and Simon kissed my hair.

"Alright. If you guys need anything, we're only a call and 5 minutes away." Soap hugged me.

"It's a ten minute drive though?"

"For you guys, we'll make it ten." Price nodded and I laughed.

I hugged Price and Gaz before turning to Ghost who was putting the kids in their car seats.

The twins were fast asleep while Kiara was singing her abcs out of order and at the top of her lungs.

"We'll see you guys later." Gaz smiled and I smiled with a nod.

"You guys coming over for dinner tomorrow?"

"It's steak, right?"

I nodded and Soap licked his lips.

"Hell yeah we'll be there."

I laughed and Ghost put a hand on the small of my back.  "Time to go."

I nodded and hugged everyone one last time before getting in the car.

"Are you ready?" Ghost asked, his keys in the engine.

"Mhm." I nodded and he took my hand.

"It's going to be okay."

"I know."

He kissed my hand and Kiara screamed.

"Hey, no. No screaming." Ghost put his finger to his lips.

"Sorry!" She put her finger to her lips.

"That's okay, darling. Just try to remember."

"Remember!" She squealed.

"Wow, that's a big word! Good job, Ki!"

She squealed and covered her mouth.

Ghost grinned and pulled out of the driveway.
