(This is today's second chapter.)

I looked around and smiled.

"This is a lot bigger than I thought. Seven rooms is a lot."

"I think it'll do. What do you think?" Ghost put an arm around me.

"I like it."

"We'll take it." Ghost turned to the real estate agent who nodded.

"We'll put in an offer."

"Tell them we'll pay in full. And we can pay it by tomorrow."

"Noted, Mr. Riley. We'll get you this house."

I smiled and we walked to the car.

"I hope we get the house." I laughed and Kiara began to stir.

"We will. I'll make sure of it."

"Ghost, I think you should retire. Like, soon."

"I'm only 32."

"And you're already well off. What's the point?

"I don't know, YN. I'm good at what I do. I'm needed."

"Yeah, but I need you too. And alive. We have a family now, Ghost. We need to be careful."

"I'm always careful."

I sighed.

Ghost loves war. I don't think he'll be leaving anytime soon.

And I have no idea if ima leave my job either.

Although...

"I've decided to go back."

Ghost turned to look at me as we stopped at a red light.

"Where?" He asked.

"To my parents house."

The light turned green but he didn't move.

"What?"

"I'm going back. I need to free my mom and I need to fuck over my sperm donor. It's not fair for my mom to be locked up where she is now. She's only 39, she's still young. She could get therapy and start to try and live a normal life. I can't sleep knowing I just left her there."

"YN...wait. She's only 39?"

I nodded.

"And you're 23?"

I nodded again.

"She was 16 when she had you?"

I nodded once more.

"Sick bastard...."

I nodded one last time.

"So I'm going."

"When?"

"Tonight."

"I'll go with you."

"No. This is my fight."

"You don't have to fight. At least not alone. We're married. You have all 141 behind you and we want to help you."

"I don't need 141. I want to do this myself. And not the legal way."

"We can do this in a legal way that's illegal."

"That makes absolutely no sense."

"Just leave it to me."

"Why, so he can just get tossed in jail? Yeah right..."

"Just leave it to me." Ghost said.

I looked down at my phone and took a shaky breath.

I looked out the car window and saw the three story house I grew up in.

Ghost was in a different car.

I drove here alone.

141 moved in, broke down the door and I stepped out of the car.

I walked up the stairs and two local cops walked out with my sperm giver in handcuffs.

He looked up at me and smiled when he saw me.

"Hey-ya YN, remember daddy?"

"Ew, gross." I wrinkled my nose and tried not to have a panic attack.

He laughed and was dragged away.

I stepped over the broken door and looked around.

Everything seemed to have stayed the same as when I ran away when I was a tween.

I made my way down the basement where all the commotion was coming from.

My mother watched blankly as they unchained her ankle.

She looked up at me and made eye contact with me.

There was no emotion.

No recognition.

No nothing.
