Naina's POV

"Bye," I waved at Pooja, who was leaving for her office.

"Bye, babe," she said and went out.

"Payal, wake up. It's already 10 am", I patted her cheek to wake her up. She woke up with a groan.

"Let me sleep some more time", she mumbled in her sleep.

"You can sleep after having breakfast", I replied and urged her to wake up.

"Fresh up and come, I will prepare breakfast for us," I said and went out after waking her up.

I made a sandwich and fresh orange juice for both of us before Payal came to have breakfast.

"I am going to a bookshop. Will you accompany me?", I asked Payal while having my sandwich.

"Ok, I will go with you, but promise me you won't leave my hand and run from one shelf to another without bothering to tell me where you are", she remarked and I nodded smiling sheepishly.

Last time I took her to a bookfest and left her hand and ran to the bookshelves upon seeing many books. It took her half an hour to find me and then she didn't leave my hand once in the whole time we were at the bookfest. What can I do? I get excited when I see books. Other than writing, I love reading so much.

"Go and get ready, we will leave in one hour", I said and Payal nodded.

I came to my room, took a shower and got ready wearing a white palazzo with maroon kurti. I tied my hair in a braid and put on little makeup. Once I was satisfied with my looks, I went out of my room to the living room taking my bag and mobile.

"Payal, are you ready?", I asked, entering her room.

"5 mins please", she said combing her hair. She wore blue jeans with a light green top.

"Let's go", she said after combing her hair.

We both went out after locking the door. we hailed a taxi and went to the bookstore. Today, there is a sale in the bookstor.  Just like Payal said I didn't leave her hand. Sure, I ran here and there occasionally but I ran taking her hand, making her run with me.

I ended up buying 8 books which I wanted to try from many days.

"Girl, I am tired. You made me run after you", Payal complained as we were walking out of the bookstore holding books.

"Let's have some cake before going home", I said pointing at the dessert shop not far from the bookstore.

"Ok, let's go I am hungry", she replied and we walked to the dessert shop.

We went in and looked around for an empty table to sit and we found an empty table at the corner, so we started walking in that direction when someone dashed me and books from my hand fell on the floor. This time it was not my mistake, I am walking properly, it's him who dashed me.

"What the...?" I hissed and sat on the floor picking up the books.

"Can't you see?" Payal sneered.

"shhh, You are supposed to keep quiet," he said to Payal. What the heck is wrong with him?

I stood up from the floor after picking up all the books and was ready to swear at him but he spoke before me.

"It's ok, little lady... no need to say sorry but next time onwards be careful, don't bump into random people", he said like I bumped into him deliberately.

"Hey Mr. it's you who bumped into me, not the other way so, you have to apologize to me and my friend", I said seriously but he just smirked.

"Hey..." Payal is about to yell but he cut her off saying
"I told you to keep quiet, you don't have dialogues in this scene".
