Naina's POV

"Naina" I came back to my senses when the director called my name.

I looked ahead and found Arnav no no, Arnav Singhania standing in front of me.

He is looking at me with the same blue eyes, but now I am not feeling any butterflies, instead I feel betrayed. Our eyes locked in the air. His eyes looked at me with an apology and my eyes with anger.

"Welcome him, Naina," the director said in a warning tone.
Still, I didn't make any move to give him the bouquet or say hello. His hand was hanging in the air as he stretched it for a handshake.

"Naina," the director called, and I can feel anger in his voice.

"I think she zoned out because of your handsomeness," the director laughed nervously.

"Who wouldn't be? When he is this handsome" AD covered it up.

I swallowed the tears, and bit back my emotions and broke eye contact with him.
'No personal feelings are allowed in work' I mentally repeated this.

"Hello, Mr. Arnav Singhania", I said cheerfully, stressing the word Singhania.

"Welcome to my show", I said as I gave him the bouquet. He looked at me surprisingly before taking the bouquet from me.

Staff set Mike to both of us shirts and we sat across from each other on the stage.

He is different. The way he is carrying himself, the grace in his moves everything is different now.

Now, everything is making sense, why he panicked when I asked him about his family and why he has an expensive car, why he always wears formals... why he doesn't know about the market street, why he never boarded the bus, why he never had any street food... everything makes sense now. I was just dumb to believe him.

I thought he was too poor to eat street food but to contrast he is too rich to have it.

I started the interview and asked a few questions which they wrote. He answered everything without breaking eye contact. His looks are killing me, I can't think straight and asked the question which I feel cringe to ask anyone.

"Do you have a girlfriend, Mr. Singhania?" I asked him. Till now, I never asked these types of questions to anyone.

"Yeah, I have a girlfriend but she is angry with me," he replied. Is he talking about me or does he have another one?

"Why?" I asked unintentionally.

"Because I lied to her, and she hates lies," He replied. So, he is talking about me.

"Then why did you lie?" I asked.

"Because I wanted to get close to her," He remarked.

"Just because you want to get close to her, you fucking lied with her", I remarked but my voice come out as a yell.

"Naina" Director called me in a warning tone.

"Sorry, sir. She doesn't ask these questions again, I promise", the director apologized to him.

"That's ok... don't disturb her when she is asking questions", Arnav stated.

"No more personal questions, Naina" He warned and I nodded.

This is the first time the director yelled at me. No one yelled at me even when I changed the questions spontaneously, but it happened because of this man in front of me.

No, it's because of my lack of professionalism. I have to keep a check on my emotions.

"Sorry, Mr. Singhania. Shall we continue?" I asked, and he nodded.
