"Can you just sit silently?" Naina hissed at Avi and he rolled his eyes.

"Did you put everything on the plate?" her mom inquired as she just came back from the kitchen.

"Yeah, mom," she replied.

It's Rakhi today. Eshwar and Arnav sat on the couch while Avi sat on the chair and Naina standing in front of him to tie Rakhi.

Naina took a pinch of Kumkum (vermilion) and put it on Avi's forehead. Then she took the Rakhi and tied it to his right hand, then fed him the sweet followed by him feeding the sweet to her. Then she gave him harathi and asked him to stand up, then she touched his feet for blessings.

"Now where is my gift?" she asked him, giving the plate back to her mom.

"I have given you my blessings... my blessings are the best gift," he retorted and stood up from the chair.

"Avi," she whined for the gift, and he just smacked on her head and sat on the couch.

He didn't give any gift even after asking so many times.

"I am not going to talk to you," she huffed and walked to the kitchen to help her mother in preparing food.

"Don't eat that many sweets or you will become like an elephant," Avi commented when she was eating sweets.

"You always tease me when I eat," she remarked and put the sweets back on the table and walked away mad.

"She is really angry," Arnav said, looking at her sulking face.

"Yes," Avi remarked lightly.

"Then aren't you going to apologize?" he asked, feeling bad for his butterfly.

"No, never," Avi exclaimed. "Have you ever seen siblings apologizing?" Avi remarked. "We only apologize when we hit accidentally cause it was not intentional,"

"Then," Arnav asked.

"See for yourself," Avi said and stood up and walked to Naina, who was standing in front of the fridge, just making herself busy without doing anything to ignore her brother.

As soon as Avi reached her, she started walking away from him and sat on the couch beside Arnav.

"Here," Avi mumbled and gave a big dairy milk to her but she didn't make any move to take it.

"What about this?" he asked, showing an ice-cream tub to her. Her hand reached for the ice-cream but somehow, she restrained herself by looking away.

"What about all of these?" he said, putting a candy jar, a few chocolates along with the previous dairy milk and the ice-cream tub.

She sat on the floor and dragged all of them to her side and started eating ice-cream.

"I am still angry at you," she commented when Avi sat on the couch beside her with a smile.

"Here," he commented and took out a box from behind the pillow on the couch and forwarded it to her.

"What is this?" she asked, looking at him and the box curiously.

"Open it," he shrugged, and she took it.

"Wow, these are beautiful, Avi," she said with a smile after opening the box. There were two bangles which were very beautiful.

"Aren't they pretty, Arnav," she asked Arnav, showing him the bangles, and he nodded with a smile.

"Mom, Avi bought bangles for me," she ran to the kitchen, yelling for her mom.
