Chapter- 31 She is different!

Arnav's POV

"Why did you call me at 2am, Arnav? Can't you let me sleep at least?" Ajay yelled as he barged into my office when I was working on my laptop.

"I have a few doubts about the new software which we are developing and you are in charge of that," I responded calmly, continuing my work.

"You are working at 2am?" he asked. "When did you sleep last night?"

"3 am" I responded.
"And when you woke up?", he asked again.

"5 am", I replied shortly.

"You again started working overnight," he stated disapprovingly, and I chose to stay silent.

"What happened with Naina?" he asked.

"Nothing," I mumbled.

"I know there is something going on with you so, tell me", he asked again and I didn't speak.

"You told her the truth. Wait a minute, your interview video is going to air today and I saw the teaser. It's Naina who interviewed you, that means..." he stopped.

"Yeah, she interviewed me but she didn't know the truth before that", I remarked.

"That means you directly showed up in front of her as Arnav Singhania before the camera", he asked and I hummed in response.

"Are you kidding me, Arnav? Didn't you think you had to tell her privately and apologize? How can you directly give her sudden shock like that?" he roared.

I know what I did was a mistake but I don't know how to tell her. I was unable to tell her looking at her innocent eyes and pure smile.

"I know it was my fault", I muttered with guilt.

"Thank God, she was strong enough to hold back her emotions otherwise I don't know what would have happened", he remarked, shaking his head.

"I know, Ajay. I know I was stupid but what can I do? How can I say I betrayed her on her face?" I yelped in defeat.

"Ok ok, calm down now and think how to apologize to her" he said.

"But I pity them, Arnav. The both friends found the truth of their relationship on the same day. I think they both cried all night", he commented.

"Both?" I asked.

"Yeah, Pooja also found the truth yesterday", he replied.

"How do you know?", I asked.

"Yesterday, I saw him with another girl in our club so I took a photo and sent it to her with the address of the club. She came and witnessed it with her own eyes. They fought in front of the club and she said "break up", Ajay explained. I feel bad for her. She is such a sweetheart and she gives motherly love to her friends.

"Tell me, Ajay, you did it on purpose, right? So that you will have a chance to get her", it was Avi who commented.

"When did you come?", I asked, as I hadn't seen him till now.

"A while ago", he said as he took a seat beside Ajay.

"Payal told me everything", he muttered. "I would have appreciated it if you had told her in person".

"I know and I am sorry I made your sister cry", I said slowly.

"I was angry when I saw her red puffy eyes. You are the first man to make her cry. If it was not you, then I don't know what I would do to the man for making her cry that much", he said, making me more guilty than I already was.

"I am sorry", I apologized again with rolling tears but I swallowed them back before they saw me.

"Anyway Congratulations, man", he commented.
