"No, she is not right for you. I just met her and she called me father-in-law, such a childish girl," Arnav's dad commented as he settled on the couch in Arnav's office after meeting Naina.
"She called you what?" Arnav asked as he sat opposite to his father.
"She called me father-in-law," he commented, stressing every word.
"This girl" Arnav chuckled, making his dad more furious than he already was.
"What type of girl have you selected, Arnav? No, she is not right for you. She is not right for this family. The daughter-in-law of the Singhania family has to be strong and smart. She has to carry herself with grace. I don't accept a childish and immature girl as my daughter-in-law," Arnav's dad shouted, fuming with anger.
"Don't you think she is strong?" Arnav asked.
"Trust me, dad, she is stronger and smarter than you expect," Arnav remarked.
"Tell me one thing about her being strong?" His father questioned madly.
"She is strong, dad. She is strong enough to maintain her innocence in this cruel world. She is smart enough to be herself even in this materialistic world. She is able to smile genuinely in this fake world. She doesn't act, dad... she lives her life and enjoys every moment of her life, unlike us who are running with time unable to enjoy even a minute even after earning millions".
"If she wants, she can act gracefully in front of you, but she chose to be herself".
"How many of us can genuinely smile with pure heart, but she is doing that. She is living her life like she wants and she is happy".
"She can make me smile even on my worst day. She is capable of that".
"Whatever" His dad sneered.
"And dad, don't make fun of my woman or my choice because I am better than you who married a woman for alliance and had an affair with another woman. And you dare to separate mother and son, you are telling me who is right for the Singhania family," Arnav remarked.
"At least your mom was not immature like her," his dad scoffed.
"I agree she is childish, but she is not immature. She is anything but naïve... No no, she is not".
"She is working in radio station from 6 years and most of the times she doesn't actually see the content they prepared for the show... she talks whatever she wants and her show is the number 1 show in radio from 6 years, don't you think she is creative enough to hold on her first place since 6 long years. And do you know, she has an excellent reputation in interviewing business executives like us and celebrities. If you ever watch TV 'S' interview shows, it's always Naina who interviews people, and she doesn't even work for the channel. They hire her only for interviews because big shots ask for her".
"She is an author by profession and she also works as a interpreter in her free time. She can speak 5 Indian languages and 6 foreign languages".
"She wanted to be an author, and she studied literature and is now writing her books. She got an opportunity as Rj because of her voice and she used her opportunity and is working as a Rj. She learned languages in her free time when she was bored and now, she is using her talent, working as a interpretor translator. She is an independent woman living her life like she wants".
"So, don't think of her as incompetent or weak because she is not" Arnav remarked and came out of his office leaving his dad annoyed.
He stopped at the door and said, "We are not having this conversation again."
