"Now tell me"

"Even though it's not an actual kiss, I am giving it to you," he remarked, and they reached the billing counter.

They came out taking the groceries after paying the bill, then he started telling what he had talked with her dad, on the way back home.

Flashback...

"Tell me about yourself?" Eshwar asked, like a HR at a job interview.

"Wait, that was too formal? Tell me about your family and what you do for a living?" he asked again.

"I am Arnav Singhania, CEO of S group and my dad is the present chairperson of S group while grandpa is the founder," Arnav replied.

"Are you serious?" he asked in disbelief, and Arnav nodded.

"How the hell did she fall for you? My girl never liked rich people," his dad remarked.

"It took me a lot of courage to pursue your daughter," Arnav commented.

"Let me ask one thing clearly... Do you really love our Naina?"

"Yes, uncle. I truly love her... love her so much," Arnav stated, and Eshwar can see sincerity in his eyes.

"What about your family? Will they accept her?"

"I don't know. Even if they oppose it, I am not going to leave Naina," Arnav replied confidently.

"What if they threaten you to leave her and marry another girl?"

"I don't have a very good relationship with anyone in my family, so they can't do that. If they want to threaten, the only thing they can do is ask me to choose between the company and Naina," Arnav explained and Eshwar nodded, asking him to continue.

"If you still didn't understand, I will choose Naina over anything. She is the only important person in my life... she is the only one I have," Arnav continued.

"I can see myself in you," Eshwar chuckled.

"27 years back, I was in your place asking my father-in-law to give his daughter to me," Eshwar shared, remembering the olden days.

"But the only difference is he rejected me," he paused for a minute and that's when Arnav's bulb glowed.

"You accepted?"

"Yes, young man. How can I not see love in your eyes?" he laughed.

"Sincerity in your eyes, confidence in your voice impressed me, young man."

"Thank you, uncle. Thank you so much," Arnav thanked him happily.

"Just remember one thing, she has got a loving family... Her friends also love her so much. Till now she never got hate in any form, so make sure to give her the same love," Eshwar said, and Arnav nodded.

"If you ever make her cry, I will take her away from you," he warned.

"Don't worry, uncle. I will take care of her and will love her the same forever," Arnav assured, holding Eshwar's hand.

Flashback ended.

"You know, I thought it would be hard to convince your dad," Arnav said, and Naina smiled.

"Everyone is easy to convince in your family but you," he commented.

"Ha, what about me?" she asked loudly.

"It took me 20 days to convince you," he replied.

"If not for the lie you pulled, I would have accepted your confession the day you confessed," she replied.
