Naina's POV

"But Arnav, I thought she was also like Jwala," he commented.

Who is Jwala? Why does he think I am like her? So Arnav had another woman before me? Then why didn't he tell me anything about her?

"How can you decide it by yourself, dad?" Arnav yelped.

My brain is occupied with so many questions and my wild imagination and my overthinking, making it hard for me.

"I know I was wrong," his dad sighed.

"I am sorry, Arnav, for everything. I know I am not a good father to you, but I always wished the best for you."

"I know it was hard for you to forgive me but try to forgive your pathetic father," he commented when he didn't get any reply from his son.

Pathetic? He?

Yeah, he surely is a pathetic father. I accept it.

What's the use of having so much money when you can't even stay peaceful?

He has two women in his life, but is he happy? No..., After ruining both the women's lives, he is not happy.

He has two sons, but did he get love from them? No..., Because he never showed love to them. All he cared for was his company, his business.

Did he get success? Yes, he was a successful man, but at the cost of his happiness.

I think he is the most unsuccessfully successful businessman.

What's the use of having a big house when that house only has walls not loving people? His house was never a home, not for him, not for his wife, not for his sons.

I don't think he even sleeps peacefully.

He may have succeeded in his career, in his business, but he failed as a husband and father.

"Ok, I will go now," he said and walked out.

"Butterfly," Arnav called me after his dad left.

"Who is Jwala? Is she your first love? Why didn't you tell me anything about her? Do you still love her? Am I just a substitute of her, just like in the story CEO's substitute bride?"

"Butterfly---," he tried to say, but I didn't give him a chance to speak.

"Wait, did you kiss her? I thought I was your first, but—" I paused.
"You actually cooked for her too? She used to sit here too?" I asked and got up from the couch dramatically.

"You used to---" he kissed me, stopping me from firing any more questions.

The kiss took me off-guard, and I just stood there like a deadfish letting him kiss me. He removed his lips from mine after a brief moment.

"It's not like that, butterfly," he sighed.

"Then what is it? Tell me everything," I stated with an angry pout.

"Jwala was actually my classmate in Uni. We used to be good friends, but it turned out to be I only thought she was my friend but she used me for money," he said and my expression changed to soft.

"She took some pictures with me without my notice and then she showed them to my father and asked for a huge amount of money and when my dad disagreed, she threatened him, saying she will post them in social media and write shit about us. She even went to a media house to print them on paper and telecast the photos in the news, but luckily, she went to 'S' tv channel."
