Hyperion fathered Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon), and Eos (Dawn), each representing different aspects of the celestial bodies.

Hyperion is often depicted with a radiant halo or bright light, symbolising his association with the sun. He may also be shown riding a chariot that drives the sun across the sky.
