All That Glitters Is Gold

Magnus was in his study, writing down lists on a notepad about a few of his next clients, and petting Chairman Meow.

"MAGNUS BANE!"

Magnus eyes widened. He knew that voice. It was Alec's angry voice. Magnus stood up and rushed into the bathroom where Alec was. Alec was wearing his normal black jeans, a black T shirt, a leather jacket and black sneakers. He was holding a can of hairspray and his hair was covered in glitter. Magnus held in a laugh.

"Yes, darling?" Magnus asked and Alec glared at him.

"My hair is covered in glitter, Magnus. Why is that?" Alec said in a sickly sweet voice.

"I have no idea, Alexander. You must have used my party hairspray dear" Magnus said and walked over. He wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. "But you look incredibly handsome in that glitter" Alec blushed at that.

"It won't come off" Alec whined.

"Then I guess you're gonna have to go to The Institute like that, darling. My hands are tied" Magnus told the pouting and blushing boy.

"Fine. But if I get made fun of, it's on you" Alec said and grumpily walked out, Magnus smiled as he watched his shadowhunter walk out. Magnus thought Alec looked sexy in glitter.

Magnus walked back into his study and continued his work as he waited for his shadowhunter.

Magnus was awoken by a slamming of a door, he had fallen asleep. He picked his head up off his desk and wiped away any drool then walked out of his study to see a mad Alec.

"I'm never walking into that place ever again!" Alec shouted and sat on the deep red burgundy couch. Magnus rushed over quickly.

"Tell me what's wrong, darling"Magnus said softly as he sat next to him on the couch.

"Jace wouldn't stop making fun of my hair so I yelled at him. He started joking about you so I punched him. I punched him a little too hard because he fell unconscious. Izzy and Clary pulled me off of him and sat on my back while Simon took Jace to get healed. They got off me and I ran out of the Institute to here." Alec said and Magnus pulled him into a hug.

"It's okay, my dear beautiful shadowhunter. Everything will sort itself out"Magnus said and caressed his cheek, Alec smiled softly and leaned in and kissed Magnus gently. Magnus kissed back but their kiss was interrupted by Magnus' phone.

Magnus pulled away with an eye roll and picked his phone up and answered.

"Ah, Biscuit. What's the news today?" Magnus said then mouthed to Alec 'Clary'. Alec sighed and stood up and sat Magnus on the couch then walked into Magnus bedroom.

"Magnus, Alec punched Jace unconscious today and he disappeared. Is he with you?" Clary asked with a tone that sounded like worry.

"Calm down, biscuit. Alec is with me. And yes, he told me about what happened" Magnus said softly.

"What was it about anyways?" Clary asked.

"Alec accidentally used my party hairspray this morning and got glitter in his hair and I couldn't take it out because I need to save my magic for a few big clients I'd have today and he went to the institute. Then he came back a few minutes ago he said Jace was teasing him about the glitter and started joking about me so he punched him"Magnus explained.

"Jace is soooo dead!" Clary said. "Izzy! Get the duck!" Magnus heard Clary yell into the background and Magnus chuckled. He ended the call and walked into their bedroom to see Alec laying on the bed with his head in Magnus pillow. Magnus walked over and crawled on the bed and laid down beside him. Alec turned to where he was laying on his side and facing Magnus.

"Hello Alexander" Magnus said softly and pulled him into a cuddle. Alec buried his head into Magnus chest and mumbled a 'hi'.

"You're not gonna worry about Jace anymore. The girls are putting a duck in his room" Magnus said and he felt Alec laughing into his chest.

"Oh and Alexander?" Magnus asked and Alec looked up at him, curious.

"All that glitters is gold" Magnus said and kissed his hair and Alec blushed and smiled. He laid his head on Magnus chest and the two fell asleep. Happy in each other's embrace.
