Magnus gulped. He's been puking every morning for the last three weeks and he's had a suspicion to what it was, but didn't know for sure until yesterday. He was pregnant, something he knew was extremely possible.

Alec had been around the last couple of mornings when it would happened and Magnus would tell him he was just sick which led to him making Magnus soup and refusing to let him leave the bed unless he had to pee.

Alec was made to go back to the institute yesterday and today which gave Magnus time to see if he was pregnant, the results to the four male pregnancy tests were positive on all of them. Magnus was happy but also nervous, in his eyes Alec was young and still had so much to do at age 24. Magnus didn't want to ruin that for him. He still didn't even know if Alec wanted kids, they haven't really talked about it before besides talking about maybe in the future.

Magnus gulped down the glass of water he held and whined quietly. He missed the taste of wine and bourbon already. When your pregnant you can't have caffeine or alcohol if you want a healthy baby.  So to Magnus all that left was Water and Milk.

Magnus started to pace around and sighed. He was going to have to tell Alec soon, he was in fact having Alec's child so Alec had a right to know.

Magnus sat down on the couch and took deep breaths as he tried thinking of a way to tell Alec. What could he do to tell Alec? It had to be something to ease the tension just in case Alec isn't happy. Magnus had an idea and ran into the bedroom and grabbed a gift bag and one of the pregnancy tests and put it in the bag and quickly put tissue paper all round it and carried it out and sat it on the couch next to him.

Magnus heard the jingle of keys and he took a deep breath, and then he heard the lovely voice of his lover.

"Magnus, I'm home! Want me to make you some soup?" Alec asked

Magnus stood up and walked to Alec. "No I'm fine, Alexander. I have something for you" Magnus said and Alec looked at him with a slight confused look but also kind of a curious one. Magnus took his hand and lead him into the living room and handed him the gift bag.

Alec looked up at him curiously as he took the bag and searched through it and when he found the test his eyes went wide and he went dead quiet.

Magnus bit his lip. "Surprise?"

Alec stayed silent as he stared at the pregnancy test in his hands.

"What?" Alec whispered. Magnus bit his lip as he looked to the floor.

Alec looked up at Magnus. "I'm going to be a father?" Alec asked and Magnus nodded, avoiding eye contact. Alec pulled Magnus into a close hug and kissed over his cheeks.

"I'm going to be a father!" Alec cheered and Magnus smiled, happy that Alec was happy.

"We're going to be parents" Alec whispered with a happy smile and leaned their foreheads together.

"The best parents" Magnus replied.

"Exactly"

"I love you, Alexander" Magnus said softly.

"I love you too, Magnus" Alec answered with a happy smile as he picked up Magnus and spun him around, chanting that he was gonna have a kid. Magnus was happy Alec was excited for a child.

"Oh just wait until I rub this into Jace's face" Alec said and laughed maniacally. Magnus rolled his eyes.

"Oh dear" Magnus exaggerated and Alec raised an eyebrow.

"You are going to kill Jace with jealousy" Magnus answered and Alec laughed with a smile and a nod.
