( Perspective of Lucas )

"So, what exactly did you guys talk about on your date," I asked.

Josh and I were at work and we were on break.

He sat next to me on the outside bench as we watched traffic.

He was reclined back on the bench with his legs outstretched with his ankles crossed.

"Uh.. we talked about work and our interests and whatnot."

"Interests?"

"Yea."

"So how do you feel about dating her again?"

"Uh... not going to date her anytime soon... maybe some other girl."

"Why not Cassandra?"

"She... just wasn't my type."

Mmhmm.

"Alright."

"What about you? How was your date with John?"

My heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name.

I sat up in my seat.

"It was good... we're going to meet up again tonight."

"Eager to get to know him more huh?"

"I guess you could say that."

"You guys going back to your house afterwards?"

I hadn't even thought of it.

"Maybe, we could have dinner at my house to begin with... save money."

"Mmmmm."

Josh stared at me with a smirk.

"What?"

"Save money," he air quoted.

"What?"

"Nothing, just don't hurt him too bad."

"What are you talking about," I chuckled. "Why would I hurt him?"

Josh glared at me.

"You know what I mean Lucas."

"Whatever man, I don't know what you're talking about."

"Yea right."

"If you're insinuating sex, you have a dirtier mind than I thought."

He laughed, and I knew that's what he meant. There was silence.

"How would you feel if I set you up with another girl Josh?"

He was silent.

"Huh?"

"Me, setting you up with another girl."

"I don't know Luke."

"You trust me right?"

"With my life, but for this type of thing, I don't know."

"Would you rather me set you up with a guy?"

He visibly blushed.

"No... it's fine."

"I think you would be cute with a guy though."

"I'm not cute Lucas... and I'm not gay."

Sure.

"Mmhmm."

He glared at me.

"I'm serious."

I just smirked at him.
