Arriving at the track on Friday morning, I quickly headed off to get changed into my overalls, I had to get out on track first before Sebastian. Grabbing my balaclava and helmet, I left the changing room before finding myself in front of Charles. "How are you this morning?" He asked as he managed a weak smile.

Nodding my head, I wanted to avoid talking about yesterday. "I'm good thanks."

"Charlotte is here," he told me with a real smile. "Maybe you could spend some time with her after you finish."

I welcomed his suggestion, it would be nice to spend some time in the company of a woman, especially someone would was not involved in my life. "I'll think about it," I told him even though I knew I would make an effort to see her.

Heading to the garage, I smiled at people as I passed them by before getting to the car. There I quickly put on my balaclava sticking in my headphones before pulling my helmet on. Climbing into the car, I took the steering wheel from an engineer, putting it into place then starting the engine.

The process was boring as I sat there and waited.

"Good to have you on board, Megan," the voice in my headphones came from Thierry, the same person from yesterday.

Rolling my eyes, I reached up and closed the visor. I needed to keep out the sun and the stares from the people around me. "How is it looking out there today?" I asked as finally, the car managed to get some life into it.

"The track looks good, it's the right temp, and there are no signs of rain."

Pressing on the buttons, I smiled, "Am I cleared to go?"

"Cleared," Thierry gave the order as I moved the car from the garage.

Leaving the pit lane, I got the speed going in the car. He was right about the weather, it was a beautiful day. Weaving on the tyres, I moved the car around to get some warmth in the tyres so I could get a real feel for the vehicle.

"There is not a single cloud in the sky," I said over the radio. It was absolutely beautiful today. There was a crackle in my ears, it sounded like the radio was struggling to connect. "Thierry?"

I gripped the wheel tightly as I pressed buttons, trying to get some kind of signal back to the garage. "Well, this is stupid," I complained as I kept the car going around the track. I shook my head to myself, driving the road, noting that all seemed right to me. Driving the car back into the pit lane, they helped lift it then backed it into the garage.

"What happened out there?" Thierry asked as I climbed out of the seat.

Removing my helmet, I pulled my balaclava off as I sighed. "I have no idea. I couldn't hear you," I explained as I took the headphones from my ears. "Could you hear me?"

"Nothing," Thierry sighed as he took the headphones and steering wheel away from me to try and sort it out.

I held my balaclava and helmet close to my chest as I saw Sebastian approaching me. "Radio not working?" He asked me as he stood in front of me, his overalls were half on, covering his legs, on his top half was a tight white top. He took his cap off his head and handed it to me, "You might want this."

Taking it from him, I raised my eyebrows, "Why?"

He also gave me his sunglasses, "The press is hanging about. Thought you might need them when you leave."

Smiling at him, I pulled the hat over my hair before slipping the sunglasses over my face. "What do you think?" I asked him, I winked at him not that he could see me under the sunglasses.

Leaning close to me, I could feel his breath on the right side of my sweaty face. "I think they look much better on you. Keep your head up," he reminded me, "And don't make any eye contact."

"Thanks," I said before I walked away not to cause any unwanted attention to us before I walked away from the car garage and into the back area of the garage to look at the screen that Thierry was working on. "Any luck?" I asked as I placed my helmet on the side next to me and leaned my arm on it.

Thierry smiled, "I think we are back in business." He glanced down at his watch, "I've already tested Seb's, so hopefully these will be good for you at the next track." He got down from his chair, leaving me at the screen looking at the numbers and letters that filled it.

Glancing over at the garage, I saw Sebastian climbing into his car. My eyes looked over at the clock on the wall seeing it was time for the first practice session. Taking my helmet with me, I left the garage and went to the changing room that connected the two garages.

I stripped down to my underwear, catching a glimpse of the scratches on my thighs as I grabbed my skinny jeans. Running my fingers over them, I sighed at the bumpy scabbed skin. I knew how to make a mess of myself, over the years I had practised, making it easier to hide.

Quickly, I pulled on my jeans, covering up the disgusting reminder before I pulled my loose tank top over my bra. I hung my overalls on the wall next to my helmet and balaclava then took my head, heading back to the garage.

Watching on the screen, I could see Sebastian out on the track. He seemed to be warming his car up, there were not many other cars on track, and it seemed it was going to be a relatively easy session.

XOXOX

It was two days before Friday's practice in Austria. Currently, I was sat in a prison waiting room, where I was waiting to see my sister. I thought back to the race, how Sebastian had managed a forth much to his disappointment. I had hugged him and returned his hat and sunglasses which he refused to take, I left them in his dressing room before I left. The rest of the team had headed to Austria the next day to begin setting up, I had to return home to take care of a few things.

"Well, well, well," Natalie's voice was loud as she approached the table and sat opposite me. "I didn't think I would see you again after last time."

I bit my bottom lip as I stared at her and shook my head, I was disappointed with her. We had the same opportunities, and yet the paths taken were so different. "I went to see our mum," I told her as I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned back in my seat. "She said you didn't call, not even once."

Natalie narrowed her eyes at me, "I have my own life to deal with Megan. Being in here is hard enough without having to worry about what is happening out there."

"Do you think I want to worry about what is happening to our mother all the time?" I asked her as I tried to rein in my temper. "You are just as much her daughter as I am. Do your part, Natalie. Being in this prison is your fault and no one else's, you put yourself here. It doesn't mean you are no longer my sister and a daughter." I never meant to raise my voice or to get angry, but it was happening.

Her eyes flashed at me, she didn't speak as she launched herself at me from across the table. She managed to wrap her hands around my throat as she knocked me to floor in the chair, her grip tight as she squeezed. "I don't owe you for my life," she shouted as she clutched tightly.

The air was quick to leave my body.

I could not even panic in the moment, my body filling a calming feeling like I deserved this.

I could hear screams around me.

Her weight heavy on me as I stared at her, what could potentially be me if I was to ever let go.

"Inmate!" She was yanked off me, her body leaving mine as I breathed, air fill my lungs again. "Get her out of here!" There was a shout from a man before someone kneeled down next to me.

"Miss Moore?" The man looked at me with sympathy in his eyes as he helped me to my feet. "I am sincerely sorry for what you just experienced. Please let me help you," he could not do enough. "Can I call anyone for you?"

Shaking my head, I took a deep breath, my throat crackling as I did. All I knew was I needed to get out of there. Looking over, I saw the back of my twin sister being dragged back to her cell.
