It was around 5 in the morning when I woke up. Unlike last time, I chose to stay back. He was in this secretive hook-up as much as I was. He was awake when I rose up, scrolling through his phone.

Instead of flying of directly to the bathroom, I decided to start conversation with him.

"Why Hades by the way?" He turns to me, putting down his phone, "Why not Zeus? He is the God of Gods, superior to all."

He looks out of his window at the sun rising. "Zeus has his perks, but he comes with annoyingly pestering wife and a horrible man whore title."

I roll my eyes, "You mean the wife he constantly cheats on with basically every damn Greek woman?"

He chuckles, "Yes."

"But...Rose was dressed as Persephone...aka Hades' wife that he never cheats on." I tilt my head, smirking. "This costume choice was definitely not up to you."

"It was. I wanted to be Hades. Ruthless, dark, in control and not disgusting like Zeus. And Rose wasn't Persephone. I don't even know who she was dressed as."

When did his lies become so transparent? Was it on purpose?

I hum sarcastically, laughing internally. "Let me guess, you wanted to be Lucifer but he never had a real girlfriend or wife, so you had to pick your losses? I'm surprised nightmare remembered Hera, though Goddess of Gods, was terribly cheated on. Their marriage was in shambles."

"You don't know anything Sanders. And nobody gets to pick their losses." He mutters.

"I think I know enough. And the rich do, darling."

"Knowing enough isn't going to get you anywhere. Don't think me fucking you is something to be glorified either. There are so many waiting to take your place." Seeing no reaction on my stoic face, he continued, "And getting your dad's wedding delayed isn't the same as ruining it." His mouth stretches into a knowing smug smile. He'd hit the spot that actually bothered me.

I get up, gathering my own losses aka my clothes and head to his bathroom, turning back only to get the last words in.

"Maybe you should've been chaste Adonis. Know how he dies?" he doesn't reply, "A tusk to his groin. Such a regretful punishment."

Of course I didn't go to school after that. I suspected not many others would anyway after last night. Since Friday was the last working day of the week, I wouldn't be missing much anyway. But if I did, I had no one to supply me with notes, because everyone hated me, or was scared of me.

Not coming today?

9.55am

Viv had texted me and I was surprised she had gone. But then I remembered, despite her party girl ways, she was still the resident angelic good girl to everyone at the private school. It was quite the strange act.
