I kissed him

I kissed him. And then... I slept with him.

It wasn't my fault. I blame it on the alcohol. And all the stupid shit we shared. I was at my most vulnerable and he was too, I guess. So, it happened and there was nothing we could do to take it back. Not that we regretted it right away either.

"So I'm bi, sue me." The morning light filtered in through the gaps of the shades drawn. It bounced of the hand that I stretched upwards, trying to undo the knots in my muscles.

"Nope, I'm glad. Otherwise, this would have been a whole lot of awkward."

"Keep pointing it out. That helps." The sarcasm in his voice didn't fade. I chuckled.

"I have to ask, what happened to Nicholas?"

He tenses, slipping his gaze across the room. "He's a thing of the past now."

"One night stand or ex kind of past?"

"Complicated kind of past."

"Care to elaborate?" I wave a hand with a smile.

He smiles back, "No." I roll my eyes.

Slipping the sheets off me, I rise and stretch. "This view isn't so bad, I can see why Michael kept you around."

I swivel my head to him, laying under the white sheets. "Rude."

He laughs, "You and me both know he could have sent you packing better than Belinda if he wanted."

"You say it like he has the world under his thumb. And he didn't 'keep me around' like a fucking pimp at his beck and call," my voice rose gradually.

He raises his hands in surrender, "Woah, alright. My phrasing was wrong I'll admit. What I mean to say is, well I know why he keeps going back to you." My anger fades as he continues, "You're a challenge, and he certainly hates that you aren't under his thumb.

"No, instead, you have him wrapped around your fingers. Like a little seductress." I smile shaking my head. "But it's more your mind than your body isn't it?"

"I hope so," I reply truthfully.

"Well, either way he can't push you away easily. No matter how much he lies to himself. I swear he had me convinced he was keeping you around for fun, hence my phrasing. But I know better now."

Is that so?

I raise an eyebrow, an amused smile on my face, "Are you sure you should be spilling his secrets to me, the seductress?"

He shrugs, "It's my assumptions, not his secrets."

"But honestly, you guys really share more than girls. I swear."

"He didn't share the secret about you though. I had to read his body language after his endeavours with you." He put a hand behind his head, "I wonder what he'd say about us?" I hadn't got to that part yet. The whole 'I slept with your best friend too' part.
