I fell in love with a shooting star
A glimpse of a light which fell from afar
One which reminded me of faded love
One which leaves a surreal feeling from above

I fell in love with a shooting star
With joyful memories which left a deep scar
A rare occurrence in darkness after a charming sunset
Someone who captures your breath on the day you first met

I fell in love with a shooting star
A heavenly sight amidst the night black as tar
Still embraced that brief encounter that couldn't last
May not be eternal, yet history won't exist without the past

When a shooting star fades away, it does not disappear
As this phenomena will eternally stay here
Engraved deeply in our mind and hearts, as it remains forever dear
So fall in love with a shooting star without any fear
