Poem #68: Melting Regrets

Closed my eyes with falling melting snow

Reminiscing merry yet frozen memories
With a puzzle of stories we only know
History encarved on these tall pine trees

This year's a gloomy December
Tragic events I don't want to remember
With piercing cold words I couldn't forget
Hope was replaced with repeating regrets

Year's ending, everybody's jolly except me
Love under the first snow, you'll always be
My snowflake among the whites and blues
My wish is to receive love just like I loved you

Prompt: "...Lying down in the melting snow. There were times we regretted..."
~ Journey of the Magi by T.S. Eliot
