Poem#22: Phantom's Love

A garden full of thorns
Waiting with the sand of time
A hideous face that I've been born
Listening to the song of the chimes

Don't smile to me
Because I can't come to you
Because you shouldn't see
The face you thought you knew

I can't show you me, I'm ugly
Looking at my broken mask
Full of loneliness, songs sang beautifully
Is it too much to ask?

I wear the mask to see you again
I look at the flower that resembles you
I'm looking back at the moments back then
The flower you picked, once colorful became blue

I can't come to you
I can't give you me
And time just flew
I never saw you again, where could you be?

Maybe back then
If I get the chance to stand before you
It would be different to see you again
Though how would I even knew?

But I can never do that
I'm afraid that you'll leave me again
I'm at our place where we always sat
I removed the mask, reminsce moments then

I wanted to give this rare flower to you
After removing this foolish mask
Holding your hand, begin anew
I'll do everything for us to last

I came too late
The flower withered as moments flew
It was all a work of fate
After everything, I still want you
