Poem #50: Blossom's Frost

Staring at a faint glow holding onto a cake
Midnight's clock stops momentarily
A smile, first expression I didn't fake
Returning to where it alll started fearlessly

A warmth welcome from the beginning
Acted coldly, ignored obvious intentions
Ending as a winter's storm, a cruel ending
Admittedly had indifferent impressions

At first, I wanted you to disappear in my life
'Til frost evaporated from a shivering heart
Leaving irresistible sweetness to my strife
In my sight, you've became my sweetheart

How could a person who made me change,
A person who sees positivity in everything,
Who never asks for anything in exchange
Suddenly fade? Like cherry blossom spring

Running back to the tree with pink flowers
Sky meets horizon, left gazing at the sunset
Present looks at its past that couldn't alter
Fate couldn't change be once it's been set

Someday we'll cross paths quite differently
Thousand days, months, years, waiting
Hopeful that we'll hold each other's hands
Same soul intertwined in a whole new being
