King Romulus's POV

For both the Royal Beta and Delta, it was rather strange to see the King in such a state of confusion—But also rather amusing, to say the least.

The King, who had braved multiple challenges to his title, all of which had proved more difficult than the last. Only to persevere through it all.

Yet the outrage of one fiery young human female seemed to be putting Romulus in his place.

"Sir, I highly doubt that Rhea won't want to have dinner with you this evening...This is all trivial nonsense anyhow. You've all but claimed her in private."

"Yes, but as she was about to accept my proposal, she told me that. My beast was about to run back to Red Moon and kill Stephan. I cannot control my beast when she is around, it's as if every move I make, I need to make sure she is safe. She's alright. The meeting nearly killed me, when the males were speaking to her like they were." This had caused the Beta to frown, which seemed more than just a normal infatuation or fascination in his mind.

"Sir...If I may? When Rhea is around, do you feel at ease?"

"Isn't that what I just described? Even now my skin is crawling as I want to visit her room." Lyall didn't know what the Beta was doing, but remained silent so that he could continue to speak.

"And when you touch, is it warm?"
"Goddess, is she warm...As if touched by the sun." The Beta had nodded and turned back to Lyall with a winning smirk. "I realize the both of you are internally laughing at me for the qualms that a human managed to do to me. But at least have the gull to say it to my face." He growled, it truly felt maddening at the mere idea of Rhea—Amory—His female—Having ill thoughts about him.

"Nothing, sir. It seems as though your wolf has agreed with your choice is all." He said with a knowing smile, but it still did not completely answer the question lingering on Lyall's face.

"Does me no good when her anger is still with me. You didn't see her, she was betrayed. And what good was I? No better than that bastard who almost hit her." It was Lyall's turn to step forward, knowing full well to a female's heart is through actions and words.

But all his suggestions were for a she-wolf, this was the Queen of the realm.
How was he meant to mend this?

"It can certainly translate over, couldn't it?... Can we not ask her males for help?" It was a blessing that the two couldn't see the blush of embarrassment coming from that.

He truly did not want to ask those two for any more advice, not when it involved her sexual endeavors.

"Would a gift be a start?... I promised her a new wardrobe for the coming seasons. She is feeble and small, she will need new cloaks." The Beta had sucked in a breath as he saw the signs in Romulus beginning to pace.

"If you promised that sort, it isn't much of a gift, sir. What if you did something meaningful?"

"Already showed her the gardens...The room that we spent the most time in has been shifted into a study of mine—"

"Then gift her the study? A shared study? I think that would be the most meaningful, considering she is starting to create another manual, isn't she?" A smile had started to come across him as he nodded. It was doable, though it would take time.

Most certainly not by tonight before dinner. Though he would hope things would perhaps settle—Though even now, Rhea was sitting in silence, Ray on the opposite end as he tried to will out what had happened in the garden.
