“What subject are you reviewing?”

Timothy asks as we both entered the elevator. “Baka ituloy ko na lang yung MCN-1, where will you be studying at?” I asked him back.

“Maybe at the usual place, pero may dadaanan muna ako.”

He answered and I nodded.

Everyone’s too busy. Kahit sila Andy at Estelle may iba pa munang gagawin bago kami makapag review sa library. Well at least I have some spare minutes to be on my own...

“I’ll be at the rooftop, susunod din ata sina Estelle mamaya.”

“Andy only dropped by the registrar’s office, heard she has to settle something first.” We stopped at the end of the pathway where we already have to take different directions. “Hintayin mo kami sa library ha, baka pagdating namin nakauwi ka na naman!” Timmy exclaimed, traumatized with what they experienced before. Napakurap naman ako sa kan’ya.

That wasn’t my fault though.

Usapan no’n is 10mins ko lang sila hihintayin.

Madali akong kausap so I already went home.

I only shove him and shook my head before making my way towards the library. It’s already our last sem in first year college, surely the time quickly flew by, kaya nga aligaga na ulit kaming lahat dahil it’s the last weekends before our final exams for this year’s last sem. It feels like we were only studying our asses off last week for our first sem’s finals.

“We left two electricfans at the rooftop, enjoy your hell week.” Lyka, the library assistant whispered nang magkasalubong kami sa hagdanan.

“Thanks.” And she winked at me.

Libraries and almost every cafeteria here at Sevit are open even in weekends, mostly because there are still classes on Saturdays, and also because there are students who prefer studying at the uni, just like us.

Also, we are planning to spend the night at EJ’s, Estelle’s having the jitters, and Lauren’s crying for help. I don’t mind at all that’s why I came with a bag of clothes in my car before heading here at the university. For now, I’m bound to review all our topics in MCN-1, I’ve already started summarizing the lessons in this subject last night that’s why I’m already left with the back-breaking parts; memorizing, studying, and reciting.

We survived the midterms, but there are rumors that the exams for finals will be completely different form the midterms.

“Once Estelle becomes vocal about her nervousness about the exams, and when you see Vanessa downing three cups of coffee in a short span of time, you’ll know we’re also doomed.” Agad naman akong napalingon sa mga basyo ng canned coffee na nasa ilalim ng lamesang pinwestuhan ko dahil sa sinabi ni Andy noon...

“Now I’m more afraid than nervous...” Buntong hininga ko.

It’s all Andy’s fault, she pointed out such thing back then.

But she wasn’t wrong.

Huling beses na kabahan kaming pareho ni Estelle para sa isang recit ay hindi kami nakasagot nang maayos, including Timothy and even Lauren who’s in a damn different course.

Nagreklamo pa siya noon kasi nadamay daw siya sa sumpa.

When in fact, hindi lang talaga siya nakapag aral before their surprise quiz.
