Felicity's POV:-

"And yes, Lauren... I like Felicity."

The smile on his face when he said that, only made everything worse.

I just don't understand! How in the world did he 'develop feelings'? He hated me! Better, he was so fucking skeptical of me which led everyone to be driven away from my company.

He'd ruined the couple of weeks I'd spent in that arena and what now? Does he expect me to return his feelings?

He was the one who helped Hector get his way without even being conscious of it. I was punished for all of his suspicious thoughts but...

Not when he killed the guy who tortured your brother.

That sentence... it sounds so...

I don't know, Brandon, at that moment, seemed to be speaking the truth. How come I didn't see the person who shot that arrow? What if Aiden truly was the one who got our revenge for us without us even wanting one?

Come on Felicity, forget that bullshit!

If it's true then I'm thankful for what he did. But that still wouldn't mean I'd throw myself into his arms and be all up on his irritated ass.

I shook my head in amusement, going back to the screen that laid on my desk, observing the eminents as they exchanged laughter.

My eyes fell on Adriel who sat far by a tree, staring off at nothing...

I ignored it and rotated my head to the right so I could have Aiden and Jett in the view. I raised the volume a little to hear what they were saying since the last thing I remember is Aiden distancing himself from Jett.

Having the two of them talking and laughing again is weird. Actually, Aiden smiling is even more weird.

Gloomy ass. I rolled my eyes at the thought and grinned in response, finally catching what they chatted about.

"I wouldn't say I'm any different." Aiden shrugged. "For example, we both killed somebody close to us and for that, I can't be mad at you if I did the exact same thing."

Jett looked down before muttering an apology which made Aiden tsk twice, shaking his head.

"I'm the one who should be sorry, Jett. I had time to myself and I realized that, we only have each other. And me being a jerk is only limiting our chance of survival because we're turning against one another. Jett... This group is the only thing that's keeping me alive and I'm saying, literally keeping me alive. I can't push them away. We're family."

Well, at least he knows he's a jerk.

Look, I know I may seem too rude but believe me, in the arena, I was more pained by the fact they left me in the back of the group than being in the jungle itself.

I'm always used to people like them pushing me away and not wanting my company just not when it depended on all of our lives. Not when we were supposed to be keeping each other alive.

I could not imagine how they would've reacted if I was under animal attack. This is something I'm thankful never happened because if it did then... seriously, goodbye.

"Are we on good terms now?" Aiden asked.

"Yeah, I think so." Jett smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.

Deep down, I thought it was really nice of Aiden to make up with him because Jett was so affected by... well, everything that concerned Nick's death and the consequences of it.

"You know? One of the things I wish I could take back is fighting with my dad before I was taken." Aiden pursed his lips and then sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

"You fought with Torryn? What happened?" Jett said, his eyes a little wide in surprise.

I can't lie, I, myself, was shocked.

"He hits you?" Vela pouted, resting her chin on his shoulder as she looked up at him.

"Not really. Dad wouldn't go so far. Only a slap and a punch maybe." He shrugged. "If I didn't do much then just a shove would be fine for him."

"But that's wrong!" Vela squeaked, lifting her head up.

"Sometimes I deserved it and sometimes I didn't. It's a cycle. A weird one to be honest." He chuckled, his eyes glistening.

Seriously, Aiden? An idiot would notice it's fake. Too fake.

"When did you deserve it and when did you not?" Jett pushed further but then added, "I don't mean to intrude, man but you have me interested."

Aiden laughed again. "No no, it's okay. I said we're family." He ruffled Jett's hair then began telling his story. For sure, Torryn was listening to all of this in the village and I really want guilt to wrap its arms around his heart. Mostly for me and my friends, to be realistic. But then, for Aiden too.

"That time I yelled at my mother for frustrating me, he kicked me out of the house. I deserved it... because mom was just trying to help me out since I was being indecisive-"

"What did you do?" Vela asked in curiosity.

Aiden curled his lips in his mouth then opened it to speak but decided not to. "Not much details, Vela but I was simply distancing myself from my family and it caused some shit ton of problems."

"Okay but when is the other time?" she smiled.

"When I didn't deserve it?"

She nodded and he nodded back in understanding.

"I don't know if you specifically remember because you were just two years old then but... let's just say, I tried saving someone and he locked me up in the grand hall for two days."

"No food?" Jett questioned and Aiden shook his head.

"Who did you save?" Vela positioned herself in front of him, seeming very engrossed in what he was telling them.

"Someone who needed it." His short reply somehow, never made me confused.

He tried saving my brother. It just makes sense. But... he got locked in the fucking auditorium!

I don't think you understand how big this thing actually is. And to be all alone for two days with no food... that's just sad.

"Guys!" Lauren ran up to them, her voice shaking as she spoke the next words that made my heart stop. "It's Adriel."

A/N I... I don't know what to say lol just vote and stay peaceful❤✌

By the way, if you didn't know, when I put ellipsis (...) in between words, it means a short pause.
