Not long after DAY6 left, our team followed suit to the hotel. At the hotel's restaurant, we were welcomed by their team. There were only five of us from the event organizing team compared to their group, which aside from the five members of the band and their manager, was joined by their stylists and other staff.

It was a surprise to me, really. I was used to seeing artists on set with a maximum of one manager and two assistants tagging along, but it was my first time seeing a large group behind the artists. They must really take care of their artists in South Korea.

They were already eating by the time we arrived and they politely stood up and bowed at us when we approached them. And it must have been really my lucky day as Young Hyun offered me the empty chair next to him! I did not waste the opportunity and wholeheartedly took the offer.

The foods served were a mix of Filipino native dishes and Korean cuisines just so the visitors could taste our own foods while they could also eat theirs should they wanted. I helped myself with my favorite chicken adobo and tried the stir-fired kimchi Young Hyun offered me. (Yes, I was that beautiful...err, lucky.)

"PD-nim, Manager Kim told us you're a film director," Jae suddenly said while staring at me, making my face turned warm. I believed my ears turned red as well.

As I was not able to answer immediately, Miss V came to my rescue again. "She is, but she trained under me in a music production division of a big company that's why she also knows this kind of stuff."

"I'm not really into concerts because I hate huge crowds, but yours is an exception," I said with a confident smile, gaining back my composure. They teased me because of that.

"But 'The Girl and The War' is really great," said Young Hyun. I almost choke on my kimchi. "I saw it in the cinema and I was like, 'ah, I want to watch it again'."

Wonpil asked him if he really did watch it and Young Hyun just became defensive. They were so cute!

"It was nominated in Busan Film Festival." Miss V added again. "By the way, she's just the same age as you, guys." She must be really proud of me.

"I was actually born in the same year as Wonpil." I corrected her.

The three eldest members looked at me shocked.

"Jinjja?" (Really?) Young Hyun exclaimed the loudest. He explained what I said to Wonpil and Dowoon in Korean and then returned his attention to me. "You're too young to be a director."

Sungjin said something in Korean which Jae translated.

"He said, he thought you're older than us."

I laughed at what he said, though it was a blow on my part. Did I look that haggard?

"That's mean!" I blurted while grinning ear-to-ear. "Jae is even the same age as my older brother."

"Sorry," Sungjin apologized, which was not necessary, really. I told him it was fine.

"It's just that, right after graduating from college, I was immediately hired by a film production company," I explained. "I worked as a production assistant for six months and was eventually promoted to assistant director. Then after working on two films following my promotion, I was given the chance to become the director of another."

"The Girl and The War?" Young Hyun asked.

I shook my head after taking a sip of the cucumber juice. "It's my second film as a director. My first was a horror."

"I think we'll love that," Jae said. "By the way, so you've already been to Busan?" Jae asked.

I shook my head. "No. I've never been anywhere near South Korea. I also had to attend the film's screening in Venice at that time, so I wasn't able to attend in Busan."

"We...tour." Wonpil motioned with his hands and we all stared at him until Jae and Young Hyun got what he wanted to say.

"Ah! We toured in Busan?" It was Young Hyun who said it first while looking at his dongsaeng. As he was not sure, Wonpil just decided to say what he wanted to say in Korean.

I looked at him, fascinated.

"He said, if ever you'll go to Korea, we'll tour you," Jae beat Young Hyun to translating Wonpil's words.

Apparently, Young Hyun misunderstood Wonpil's hand motions.

"Oh, that would be nice," I said. "I'm not really good with strange places, so yeah I need someone to guide me."

Then they went talking about places and foods in South Korea, while I was smiling and staring at them the whole time. I knew a bit about their culture, thanks to Kpop and Korean Dramas, so I was able to join their conversation. They were even surprised.

The whole dinner was full of stories and laughter. It was not hard to get comfortable with the DAY6 members. They were all so fun to be with, even Wonpil and Dowoon who were struggling with English.

Before we parted, they even asked for my personal Instagram account and Young Hyun even reminded me, "Make sure to tell us when you go to Korea. We'll really tour you."
