Bonus Chapter: 11.5 - The Fear of Losing You

Two days after his birthday, he saw their photos on Krizza's IG account. It only meant that she was no longer upset and he was already forgiven. He decided to call her.

"Jjang!" He greeted with a smile.

"Hey!"

"Are you out?" He asked because he could hear passing cars.

"Yeah. I gonna get some food."

Suddenly, he got an idea. "You wanna eat lunch together? I don't have anyone to join me." He was lying though.

"Lunch? Just the two of us?" There was hesitation in her voice.

"Yep. Wae? You...don't want to?"

"Oh, no, no, no. Of course, I want to. I'll just return home to change. Where will we eat?"

"Do you want to go to Gangnam? I know a good place there." It was a spur-of-the-moment decision. He knew a lot of good places in Gangnam, but he still had to think about which to recommend. "I'll just give you the directions."

"Okay, call."

After the call, he quickly searched for the most famous eating place near their building through the internet. He was found by his bandmates rushing to tie his shoelaces. They just came from the recording room.

"Eodie-ga?"(Where are you going?) Sungjin asked.

"Jeomsim."(Lunch.) He simply answered.

It was Dowoon's turn to ask, "Eodie?" (Where?)

He stood up and wore his coat without answering the maknae's question.

"What's the rush?" Now, it was Jae. "And I thought we'll eat out together?"

Young Hyun picked his phone and dialed Krizza's number. "Later. Dinner. Gotta go!" He scampered off their bandroom and left his friends puzzled.

He went to the restaurant first and waited for her there, all the while talking with each other about movies, food, etc. When she told him that the train was almost at the station, he decided to fetch her.

And it was a good thing he did. Because she was almost hit by a car! He was so worried that he crossed the road while the cars were rushing. He was not scared of getting hit, but he was scared that something bad might happen to her.

"Are you crazy?" She yelled at him. "What if you get hit?"

"Ya! You just almost got hit!" He retaliated back. He was really worried about her that his heart went beating so fast.

When he noticed that she was stunned by his outburst, he sighed to calm himself. "You scared me, you know? Don't do that again."

He turned his back to her so that she would not see the fear in his eyes—fear that he might lose her in front of his eyes. He did not realize it would be that scary.

Young Hyun felt her presence beside him. He knew she might have questions about his over-reaction, but even he could not explain. So he just grabbed her hand and pulled her with him as they trudged across the road.
