Young Hyun and I were back to speaking terms since his birthday. I also returned to Instagram and uploaded our picture together. I was actually surprised to see private messages from friends asking why I deleted all my photos. However, I did not respond to any of them.

The new photo I uploaded garnered several reactions, especially from my co-My Days, but I avoided reading any of the comments. However, I responded to a private message from a certain someone.

YoungtotheK: Oh, you're back!

YoungtotheK: Btw, your eyes are really puffy on the picture. People might say we made you cry.

He really had to mention it, hadn't he?

OK!rizzaaa: Aren't you busy writing songs?

He did not reply, but I received a call from him instead.

"Jjang!"

"Hey!"

"Are you out?"

I was actually taking a walk to the nearby convenience store to buy some foods. I just got to take a break from wallowing in my despair. Ms. Tina had not updated me yet regarding the script I wrote and the anxiety was eating me up.

"Yeah. I gonna get some food."

"You wanna eat lunch together? I don't have anyone to join me."

I stopped from my track. "Lunch? Just the two of us?"

"Yep. Wae? You...don't want to?"

"Oh, no, no, no. Of course, I want to." Who would not want to? It was Young Hyun asking for lunch together, for goodness sake! "I'll just return home to change. Where will we eat?"

"Do you want to go to Gangnam? I know a good place there. I'll just give you the directions."

Without a second thought, I said, "Okay, call."

I changed my clothes and prepped up a bit. Then off I went. All the way to the address he gave me, we were on the phone talking just about anything. I could not understand, but whenever we chat, we never run out of topic.

I rode the subway for the first time. Then, when I got off, he told me to wait for him at the nearest bus stop. Because the restaurant was on a street on the other side of the road, he just volunteered to fetch me from there. I told him it was unnecessary, but he insisted because I might get lost again, he said.

I waited for him near the crosswalk. In a matter of a heartbeat, I saw him on the other side of the road. He was wearing the coat I gifted him. I smiled.

"I already see you," I told him over the phone. "Wait there."

The stoplight was already about to turn red when I noticed a grandmother accidentally lost hold of her groceries. I ran to her and helped her pick up the items. After making sure that she was okay, I immediately ran to the crosswalk. Unfortunately, the light turned green at the same time.

And I was almost hit by a car! Good thing, the driver was driving slowly.

"Ya, gwaenchanh-a?" (Are you okay?) I heard Young Hyun asked in alarm.

I could not answer because I was in shock. I apologized to the driver and let him pass through. Then, my eyes went wide when I saw Young Hyun trying to cross the street although the stoplight was green!

"Hey! Just stay on the sidewalk! You'll get in an accident!" I shouted over the phone.

But he was stubborn. He signalled the cars to stop as he crossed the road. He wasn't scared at all.

"Are you crazy?" I told him when he got to my side. "What if you get hit?"

"Ya! You just almost got hit!" He retaliated back. He sounded mad.

I was taken aback that I could not answer.

He sighed. "You scared me. Don't do that again." Then, he turned his back to me and faced the road. He must be really upset, but why?

I stood next to him while we waited for the stoplight to turn red. He was not looking at me and I was afraid to say anything.

When the stoplight turned red, I thought he would walk away first, but I was surprised when he grabbed my hand and pulled me with him. He held my hand tightly as if afraid I would stray. He did not let go until we got to the other side of the road.

Until we arrived at the restaurant, we were not talking to each other...and my heart...my heart felt like it would explode anytime.

"Are you mad?" I asked him when we sat down. Imagine the amount of courage it took me to ask him that.

He would not look at me and he kept sighing.

"Hey, I'm perfectly fine. I was shocked, but nothing worse happened." I tried to convince him.

Still, he did not say anything. The server came and he ordered our food. He did not even ask me what I wanted.

"Are you getting revenge for when I wasn't replying to your messages on IG?" I was getting irritated.

He sighed again and finally looked at me. "I wish I am, but I'm just really frightened earlier. What if something bad happened to you?"

"But nothing did."

I knew that we were both being stubborn.

He sighed again. "Just be careful next time, okay?"

I nodded. "Ne."

His bad mood subsided and we ate peacefully when the food arrived.
