"I can't believe tomorrow is the competition!", Cayden exclaimed as he watched me putting my extra books inside my locker.

"I know right?!", I closed my locker with a beaming smile on my face before swinging my bag on both of my shoulders.

Today is Tuesday, as you can tell, and tomorrow is the competition that we've been practicing for God knows how long.

I was running late today because Lexi was whining at me so I can give her a poop walk. I let her do her thing in the backyard. Then, cleaned it up. I can't leave Lexi outside when I'm not at my house. Nope. I'm not risking her getting injured.

That not even the weird part. When I finally arrived, no one looked at me in the eye, and they all acted that nothing happened yesterday. I asked Cayden if he knows what's going on, he said it's not his place to tell me.

I'm betting it's something that has to do with Ryder.

"We have to win", Cayden opened the school's main door letting me go first.

I didn't realize we already passed the hallways.

"Don't you think you're being too dramatic? It's okay if we didn't-"

"Too dramatic?", Cayden's eyes widened, "Didn't you hear what Mister Cameron said yesterday?"

"What did he say...?", I furrowed my eyebrows.

Cayden playfully rolled his eyes, "He said if we win that will boost our athletic scholarship, remember?"

"Oh, right! How could I possibly forget!", I began face-palming my forehead several times, "Stupid, stupid, stu-"

"Hey no more hitting yourself", he caught my hand, "And Ania, don't you think you are taking scholarships way too hard?", his eyes held sympathy and worry.

"We talked about this, Cayden", I pouted looking around for my car, "I need every scholarship I can get. I already got several acceptance letters, and you know that..."

"I know... I know...", he gave me a reassuring smile.

"Now the only thing that's bugging me is-"
