[Sabo's POV]

She started to cry loudly after that. I can only hold her closer as I tried to console her more.

"I... I..."
She tried.

"Sssh.. it's alright. Take your time. Take a deep breath."
I winced at my effort of easing up her sadness.

I was really mad when she told me that they starved her and beat her. But now I'm not sure what kind of emotion I'm feeling right now. Because it feels like I'm feeling them all at the same time.

"I... I sold everything they had... and went back to the village after I sent the last letter. Both Dadan and Makino sent me a letter.

They told me that you were dead."

"I thought they were joking at first, of course..."
My previously tight grip on his clothes now loosen.

"Meddie..."
His voice now cracks.

"But it doesn't matter now... you're here with me now."
I wrapped my hands around his waist and torso, enjoying the comfort, the warmth of his body.

"I'm sorry.."
He kept muttering.

"It's not your fault.. you also went through a lot."
I can hear my own voice and feel how hoarse it is.

Then it was a long silence afterwards.

[3rd Person's POV]

"She locked the entire door coming to her room."
Izo clicked his tongue in annoyance.

She had locked the door to the female quarters that was never been locked before. The screen doors on the corridors to her room. And of course, her own room.

So it took the two spies a long time to be able to reach her room without making any noise or breaking anything in fear of her getting mad at them.

"Three more doors and we're free to her room."
Marco said with determination.

"Then how come you became a Marine officer?"
Sabo asked as he wiped the tears and snot from my face like when we were little.

"Gramps asked me to. It was either I join Ace's crew as his first mate or that."

"It was an easy decision."
I chuckled.

Sabo also chuckled, still holding onto me tightly. We started to snuggle closer to each other comfortably.

"I told you about Rayleigh, right?"
I looked up but failed, only able to see his chin and cheeks.

"Yeah. He sounds like a wonderful person."
He smiled as he rested his chin on my head.

"He is."
I nodded in agreement.

But when I did that, I noticed the big mess I've done on his clothes. Patches of tears and snot everywhere.

"I ruined your suit."
I chuckled, feeling a little sorry.

"It can always get washed."
He shrugged.

"Sorry... I should get this over with so I don't ruin it more."
I gestured to my messed up, puffy, crying face.

He stared down at me like thinking about something.

"What about this?"
He smiled before moving away.
