Carved

Purpose

As Issho gathered all the rubbles that he could up in the sky, everyone was terrified at the mere illusion of being crushed by it. We started to run faster until I pulled to a stop.

"Medeia-sama!! What are you doing?!"
Bartolomeo called after me.

"Use your barrier to cover the others while you run. I'll minimize the damage."
I said as I gathered an equally large amount of water right in front of his rubbles.

"Medeia-sama!!!"
Bartolomeo cried out, smiling though.

When I saw Luffy running up to us, I clashed my body of water against his rubbles to keep him occupied.

"Luffy! Keep on running through!"
I yelled.

"Yeah!"
He smiled as he ran past Issho safely.

"Get to the ship and keep my pet safe for me, alright?"
I smiled.

"Are you sure you can do this?"
He seems scared for me.

"Don't you trust your sister?"
I assured.

His eyes widened and his smile is back.

"Alright! You better come soon!"
He said as he started to run again.

"A noble sacrifice for your sibling?"
Issho smiled.

"No... it's just that... I have to buy some time."
I chuckled.

A crowd of citizens started to run up to us. All yelling false words of hatred. Of course Issho knows this. He's far more sensitive about this kind of thing than others.

The closer they get, the less chance of him dropping those rubbles on top of us.

Issho is indeed one of a true protector of people after all. Putting everyone's safety is a higher priority to him always.

"Let's play cards the next time we meet, old man."
I smiled before running away myself.

I can see him smiling as I turned around.

"There you are! You missed the biggest thing!"
Usopp beamed excitedly.

"What is it?"

"They all pledged their allegiance to our crew!"
He smiled wide.

"And Luffy agreed?"
I asked in disbelief.

"Nah, he refused. But they're just too forceful."
Zoro chuckled.

"Medeia-sama! Here's your share of sake! I saved it up for you."
Bartolomeo handed me a cup of sake.

I drank it without saying anything more.

Everyone seems happy that I drank it without being fussy like Luffy. But the Marines caught their attention. Cannons are thrown at us hard.

"Ha...?"
Another lots of ship appeared in front of us but it's not Marines.

A fleet of pirates stopped us while the Marines are chasing us from behind.

Right before I took out my swords, the previous rubbles fell on enemy's ship instead and done the deal for us.

The day then ended with the usual rowdy party as we sailed to Zou.

After Luffy and his crew changed ships to Bartolomeo's, we finally get to read today's paper.

"Oh no..."
I can feel a headache coming.

"Congratulations!!! Your bounty now is 750 million beri!"
Bartolomeo and his crew popped out a confetti.
