Casseroles and Casualties

Tay and Ty ran in with everyone else. They both ran right to Maddie.
"I'm so sorry." Both the twins said over and over to Maddie.
"We tired to find him. And we saw the car. Is Kyle all right." Tay asked
"We're waiting to here." Bill told them and Tay hugged Maddie tears streaming down her face.
"We've been calling and calling." Dana Sue said
"I left my phone at Jackson." Annie said.
"We're waiting to hear word on Kyle and your sister." Helen told Jackson and he looked around at everyone.
"I better call my parents." He said
"They've been called. Do you, um, do you know where CeCe is?" Helen asked.
"I'm pretty sure Simon took her home. We really want to find Kyle and Nellie-" Jackson explained
"What happened, Jackson?" Helen asked
"Tyler, Taylor, what happened? How in all holy did your brother and Nellie wind up in your car?" Maddie asked
"I'm not sure how to explain it-" Ty said.
"Crazy. Things just got crazy." Jackson then Eric and Cal walked in.
Cal walked over Tay and Ty giving Maddie and Bill a weird look before back at the twins.
"Hey, uh, you guys good?" Cal asked and they nodded there heads.
"As good as I can be." Ty said then Cal looked at Jackson who nodded his head.
"What the hell is wrong with you boy?" Jackson dad, Trent asked as him and Mary Vaughn walked in.
"Bite your tongue, Lewis? You don't-". Bill started
"Bill, please."Maddie said
"I already talked to chief Bolden. My next call is to my lawyer." Trent said
"Before you know the truth?" Bill asked
"Okay, Bill, Trent, pretty sure this isn't the time or place." Ronnie, Annie dad who cheated on Dana Sue and is now back, said.
"Ronnie, what in the hell are you doin here?" Trent asked
"Looking after my family. Same as we all are." Ronnie said.
"Mom." Jackson said and Mary Vaughn walked over to him hitting him with her bag.
"What did you do to your sister?" She asked
"Hey, he really tired to stop Nellie. That part is not his fault." Tay yelled taking a small step towards them.
"Did I invite you into his conversation, young lady." Mary Vaughn asked and Tay looked slightly surprised.
"Spit it out. What did you do?" Mary Vaughn asked
"He didn't do anything." Tay argued but got ignored.
"Mrs. Lewis, you should let the admitting nurse know that you and Trent are here." Eric said
"Y'all want me to wait for the facts? Somebody better start coughing 'em up." Trent yelled.
"The doctors are back with Nellie and Kyle right now. They'll come out when they have something to tell." Maddie said calmly.
"And what do you wanna tell me?" Trent tuned to Jackson.
"You said I could have people over after prom." Jackson said
"That's an answer." Trent said
"There was an argument at the party, and someone people wanted to leave." Ty spoke
"An argument about what?" Bill asked
"Nothing." All the teenagers said
"Ok, where is everyone else?" Dana Sue asked
"Home safe, Kyle and Nellie were the only ones who took off." Ty said
"How did Kyle get your car?" Trent asked
"Parking was tight, so I just left my keys in the visor." Ty said
"Nellie just jumped in with him, dad." Jackson said
"Why in the devil would Kyle do that? Was he drinking?" Trent asked
"Jackson was the only one drinking." Annie said
"Wanna tell that to chief Bolden, Trent?" Bill asked
"Son?" Trent asked Jackson
"I'm sorry, Jackson." Annie said
"Don't apologize to him. He started it." Ty said as Tay shoved him
"The drinking?" Maddie asked
"The fighting." Ty said
"No, sir. You and your dweeb brother got into it all on your own." Jackson said
"Hey." Cal out his hand in Ty's shoulder pushing him back
"What?" Maddie asked
"Howie." Mary Vaughn said as Howie walked in
"Howie, how's my baby?" Mary Vaughn asked
"Nellies gonna be fine. She has some abrasions and lacerations and deep bruising from the seat belt. Glad she was wearing it." How said
"And Kyle?" Maddie asked
"Kursk injuries are more extensive but not life- threatening." Howie said.
"Thank god." Helen said
"He's with the orthopedist now." Howie said
"Orthopedist?" Bill asked
"Manual Ahmed. She'll be out soon to talk to you. They were very lucky." Howie said
"Howie, when can we see Nellie?" Mary Vaughn asked
"They're dressing her lacerations. Claudia could you take Mayor and Mrs. Lewis to see their daughter?" Howie asked a nurse and she took them.
"You'll have to wait here for, Dr. Ahmed. I know it's hard, but guys just have to be patience a bit longer. Manual is exceptional and Kyle couldn't be in better hands. She'll be out in just a moment to walk you through the entire situation." Howie said
"Situation."
"Bill, please." Maddie said
"This is all on you, you worthless piece of-" Ty said walking past Jackson and Jackson shoved him.
"Oh, you're gonna blame me for your girlfriend? Something's are actually your fault. Your innocent act sucks." Jackson said and Ty shoved him harder.
"Shut the fuck up, Ty. It's your girlfriend who started it. Maybe get control of your fucking bitch." Tay yelled then tackled him and punching him and then Cal ran over and grabbed her off him.
"Maybe CeCe can kick your ass again." Ty yelled at Jackson and Jackson shoved Ty back making him land on his arm.
"Enough." Cal yelled as everyone crowded around Ty.
"Ty get up. He's fine." Jackson said
"Back off, Jackson." Cal yelled as more people crowded around.
"I didn't mean to do that." Jackson said
"Bill just get away! Haven't you done enough? The car on top of everything? Just get away." Maddie yelled as Cal and Eric yelled Ty up and Maddie followed them out.
As they stood there and watched them walked out Bill spoke up.
"We'll, now you seem to be the root of all that's going wrong tonight, young man." Bill said getting in Jackson face.
"NO! SHUT UP! WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT KYLE? UH? WHY?" Tay yelled shoving Bill back.
"Ta-" Bill went to say
"SHUT UP! I DON'T WANT TO HERE WHATEVER EXCUSE YOU MAKE UP THIS TIME. YOU SCREWD UP! YOU SCREWD UP! I HATE YOU! I LOOK AT YOU AND ALL I FEEL IS HATE. HATE HATE HATE." Tay yelled then punched him in the face twice before Ronnie pulled her away.
"Let's just simmer down." Ronnie said
"No, Ronnie, you're a foot hole on the list of people I wanna talk to-" Bill yelled at him.
"He's trying to save you from adding fuel to the fire, Bill." Dana Sue yelled.
"Can we all slow down? Regain our bearings?" Helen asked
"Dr. Townsend?" A doctor came in and started talking to him.
Tay stood with her hands behind her head as she paced tears about to come down her face. She took a deep breath before not being able to control herself anymore and started punching the wall multiple times before kicking the chairs. She turned back and punched the wall a punched defiantly breaking her hand, but she had wi much adrenaline rushing through her body she couldn't feel it. Ronnie pulled her away and sat her down beside Jackson before walking away.
"I'm so so sorry." Tay said crying
Jackson stood up and so did Tay and they hugged until Ronnie came back over telling her to follow the doctor.
Tay followed the Doctor back and they walked into a room with a bunch of beds and people filled them, Ty being one of them. Maddie and Cal stood leaning against the desk.
"Mom." Tay said holding up her and Maddie's rushed over
"What happen?" She asked
"Bill." Tay said as Cal popped up from behind Maddie looking down at her hand.
"Alright come sit right over here, here's an ice pack." A nurse told Tay directing her to the bed beside Ty's.
"So your mom and dad? Alright she gonna need an x-ray later. Another doctor will be in, in minute to take her." The nurse said to Cal and Maddie who just nodded a long.
When she walked away Tay looked between Maddie and Cal and it didn't go unnoticed by Tay that there was awkwardness.
"What happen? Are you guys being awkward because the doctor called Cal my dad?" Tay asked
"No, no. We just are sorting things out." Cal said as Tay looked down at her feet, not dwelling on it, because she didn't want them to be broken up already.
After getting an x-ray and getting out in a sling as well as Ty they went to Kyle room where he was just waking up. Cal went home so it was just Maddie, Bill, Ty, and Tay.
"Mom." Kyle said
"Hey, sweet boy." Maddie said
"Mm, I messed up."
"We can talk about that later." Maddie said as Kyle looked over at the twins
"Sorry about your guys car." Kyle said as the twins smiled down at him.
"Don't even think about it. Glad you're in one piece." Ty said
"I ruined it. I ruined everything." Kyle said as Ty chuckled then scoffed. Tay sat down in the chair in the corner.
"He's medicated, Ty." Howie told him.
"Kyle, honey, this can wait." Maddie patted Kyle shoulder
"Ty, talk to me. Man, your arm. And yours. Did I do that? I didn't mean to hurt you guys." Kyle said trying to sit up.
"You'll do better if you lie still." Howie said pushing Kyle back down.
"You didn't do this, so chill on that count." Ty said
"Wow, can't go to state with two broken arms. Sucks, dude." Kyle said and Ty turned and walked out as Tay stood.
"Uh, it's my hands actually." Tay told him and he nodded his head.
Tay looked down at the ground as tears stung his eyes. She sunk back down in the chair as tears flowed down her cheeks. She stood up in a rush and walked out of the room. She kicked the chairs that sat in the hallway before sitting down in them.
After Tay got a cast on her hand and it arm put back in the sling they went home leaving Bill with Kyle.
The next morning
Tay woke up to tiny feet padding against her floor then her bed way down. She peeped her eyes open and saw Katie crawling over to her.
"Hey Katie bug." Tay smiled
"Hey I made you something."Katie said handing her a paper
Tay opened it to see writing that said I love you and I hope you feel better soon. Tay smiled and hugged Katie.
"Aww thanks Katie bug." She said
"Your welcome." Katie said before running out mumbling something Ty getting a card too.
After a while they all went to the hospital and Ty and Tay sat by the window while everyone talked to him. Katie gave him his card which he liked.
"Thanks for the card, Katie." Kyle smiled
"I'll make you one everyday till you come home." Katie told him.
"Do we know when that's gonna be?" Nana asked
"No, not yet." Maddie said
"Kyle, I understand what happened last night, but for the life of me, I can't understand why." Bill said
"Mom said we could talk about this later. My leg hurts. When my next pill?" Kyle asked but before Maddie could say anything there was a knock.
