As I drove back to my office, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions swirling inside me. On one hand, I was relieved that our agreement didn't end up in an argument, and that we could focus on our businesses without any distractions. On the other hand, I couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt for having to lie to my family about our situation.

I knew my family would never approve of the co-parenting agreement, let alone the idea of getting married to someone I barely knew. But it was the only solution I could come up with to save my business and my reputation. And Olivia was the only one who was willing to help me out.

As I pulled up to my office, I knew I had to come up with a plan to break the news to my family without them suspecting anything. I couldn't just show up with a sudden fiancée out of the blue. But I had to act fast, before any rumors or gossip could start circulating.

I decided to focus on the meeting at hand that will be taking place the next day, discussing some important business matters and also plan out how to break the news to my family. I knew my family would be curious, but it was the perfect opportunity to bring my plan to life.

As I settled into my office chair, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. This was uncharted territory for me, and I had no idea how things would turn out. But I knew I had to stay focused, and do whatever it takes to protect my business and my family's reputation.

With a deep sigh, I picked up my phone and dialed my secretary number. It was time to start planning for the meeting.

My assistant picked up after the second ring, her voice crisp and professional. "Good afternoon, Sir. How may I assist you?"

"Good afternoon, Abigail. I need you to reschedule a meeting with the board of directors for tomorrow at noon."

There was a pause on the other end of the line before Abigail spoke again. "Is everything alright, sir?"

I hesitated for a moment before answering. "Yes, everything is fine. But we have some important matters to discuss."

"Understood, sir. I'll take care of it right away."

"Thank you, Abigail. And please make sure that everyone is present. This is a crucial meeting."

"Of course, sir. I'll send out the invitations immediately."

I hung up the phone and leaned back in my chair, my mind racing with thoughts of what was to come. I knew that the meeting would not be an easy one, but it was necessary. My family's reputation and our business were at stake, and I couldn't afford to let them suffer because of my personal life.

I spent the rest of the afternoon preparing for the meeting, going over reports and presentations, and making sure that everything was in order. By the time I left the office, it was already dark outside, and the streets were quiet.

As I drove home, my thoughts drifted back to Olivia. I wondered how she was doing and whether she is preparing for tomorrow. I knew that we had a long road ahead of us, but I was determined to make things work.

I walked into the dining room to find my entire family seated and engaged in lively conversation. It was as if nothing had changed, but I knew that everything had. As soon as I entered the room, all eyes turned to me.

My father's voice boomed across the room. "Are you going to stand there and watch us eat, or are you going to join us?"

I took a deep breath and walked over to my usual seat at the table. As I sat down, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. How was I going to keep up this facade?
