Olivia

Grandma's eyes were fixed intently on me and Logan. Nervousness crept over me as I awaited what she had to say. I shifted in my seat when she cleared her throat, and her gaze shifted to Logan. "So, what plans do you have for my granddaughter?" she asked.

My brows creased in confusion. "What plan, Grandma? Logan and I are married."

She threw me a glare in return. "Are you his mouth? I'm talking to Logan, not you."

I formed my lips into a thin line. "Sure, go on," I urged, using my hand to indicate that she should continue. I didn't even want to look at Logan, knowing he might become nervous.

"My plan is simple. I'm going to make her the happiest person alive." Heat crept up my cheeks at his words. Logan always knew how to warm my heart and make butterflies erupt in my stomach. I was sure lucky to have someone like him in my life. I would say he was like an angel sent to me to shower my life with love and happiness.

I was snapped back to reality by Grandma's words. "You have a way with words. You have convinced me enough. I know I cannot separate you two no matter how hard I tried. I see the love for Olivia in your eyes. I pray you won't disappoint me. Olivia has a fragile heart. Little things make her emotional."

An amused smile found its way to me at my grandma's words. This was the first time she complimented me without hurling insults at the end. However, Logan took charge. "And I would add she's a crybaby," Logan added.

"What the hell!" I turned to him with a glare. "Who is a crybaby? Grandma, am I a crybaby?" I directed my question at her. The smile that occupied her lips indicated she agreed with Logan's words.

"Don't tell me you believed him. Don't test my patience, Logan. You know how I will get to you," I warned.

Logan shrugged his shoulder. "Nothing I'm not used to."

I squinted my angry eyes at him and was about to hurl the spare pillow at him when Grandma held it mid-air. "Don't even try it. I'm sure it wasn't easy handling you. Now that you're pregnant, it'd be even worse. And yes, you're a crybaby. Logan didn't lie."

"Give me a high five, Grandma," Logan chirped, pushing his hand forward. My mouth hung open as I saw her actually giving him a high five.

"When did you two become friends? I thought you didn't want him around here," I teased.

"It's all in the past. And we have sorted things out now."

"Are you sure?" I pressed on again playfully, getting another glare from her.

"I have a rich son-in-law, why would I play around with the opportunity."

"Oh, I see. It's all about the money," I squinted my eyes at her.

Logan nudged me on my shoulder. "Don't rile Grandma up. I don't mind spending all my fortune on her."

"You see, he said it himself. So don't disturb me," I shook my head with a smile. I'm glad the two are slowly getting comfortable around each other.

I saw the smile on Logan's face, a genuine one. It made my love for him grow stronger. "Logan, won't your family be worried with you leaving your work to come here?" Grandma asked in all seriousness. I had asked him the same thing, and he told me not to worry. Maybe Grandma will be able to convince him. I don't want to be the reason for his slacking off at work. I know Scott and Bernard are there, but at least he should fulfill his own part of the work.

"Don't worry, Grandma." Logan reached for her hand and began running his thumb over them. Seeing the mixed expression on his face made my body weak. At some point, I felt like he was getting emotional. Maybe he was reminded of his mother. "Work will be taken care of. You should just get better."
