32 - First peek

*Kim pov*

Today is Saturday November 3rd, Seb Nico and I are patiently waiting in the doctors office, waiting to be called up for our first ultrasound.
"How are you feeling doll?"
"Sick..." I tell him "can you please stop bounce Nico on your leg...it's making the other seats bounce and I'm very nauseous, sorry"
"No it's ok, I'm sorry for that baby. Do you need to go to the bathroom?"
"No, for now at least"
"I'm here, tell me if you need to go"
"Mhm...thanks" I say leaning my head on his shoulder and watching Nico as he nibbles on his father's fingers

"Mrs. Stan, right this way" Ashley, the assistant says showing us the doctors office.
I knock on his door and he says to come in
"Mrs. Stan it's good to see you again, and that beautiful baby boy of yours. Mrs. Stan"
"Good morning dr. Mecham" I say and Sebastian follows
"I hope everything is okay with the post partum..." he says inviting us to sit down in front of his desk
"Yeah, everything went well...I'm not here for a follow up on that though..."
"Oh...I see"
"Yeah uh...unexpected..."
"How long ago did that happened?"
"Should be seven weeks today..."
"Ok, I'll let you take your pants off, I'll be right back" he says leaving us privacy

"Ok, let's see"
Dr. Mecham puts the sonogram in and searched for the fetus
"Here we go, meet your baby" he says before taking its measurements to see if everything is ok
"Looks like seven weeks yes, congratulations!"
"Thanks doc" Sebastian says
After getting dressed again he takes a sample of blood cause he wants to do a few more tests
"Those tests result should come back in a week. Are you experiencing nausea?"
"Yup, definitely. Having it right now, it's worst than when I was pregnant with this little guy" I say tickling Nico's neck and making him giggle
"Ok, make sure you always stay hydrated since you puke a lot"
"Of course"
"You'll hit 40 weeks July 22nd"
"Ok"
"I'll print these for you and schedule your next appointment" he says before leaving the office

Once back home I settle on the couch, Sebastian is making some tea for me and Nicolas is sleeping
"Can you believe it? It's crazy..." Seb says coming into the room
"I know...there's a possibility that Nico won't be even one once this baby is born..."
"I know. Another thing I know is that we'll manage, I'll be there for you the whole way just like I was before"
"I know you will"
"And if it means that after winter soldier I won't take other jobs then so be it, you and the kids are more important"
"Babe I can't ask you this"
"But you are not asking doll" he says kissing my forehead "I love you so much" he says but I don't manage to respond cause a new wave of nausea hits me like a truck and I run for the bathroom, my husband got on my tail
"It's ok, it's ok doll" he says, one hand rubbing my back the other keeping my hair back from my face
"Ugh..."
"I know, I'm sorry..."
I finish puking and he sits me on his lap, still in front of the toilet just in case.
He wipes my mouth with a wet towel and makes my head lean back on his shoulder
"Shhh"
"Mhm"
"You're ok...I know you hate this and I'm so sorry I wish I could take that away from you but unfortunately it's not how this works"

He helps me up after a few minutes, I wash my teeth and rinse my mouth with him standing behind me, he then picks me up gently and walks upstairs into our bedroom lying me softly in bed
"I love you too by the way" I say with a hoarse voice
"I know" he says smiling "cuddles?"
"Please"
He lays next to me and pulls me to him so I can snuggle up on him
"Rest doll"
"Mhm" I mumble already half into dreamland
