49 - What are we going to do?

*Kim pov*

Useless to say that night I haven't slept at all, my heart hurt tooth much for that little girl, and Sebastian tossed and turned for the whole night.
It has now been ten days, almost every thought went to her, both mine and Seb's.

Today we have our parents over, it's Sunday and at least a Sunday each month we have lunch together.
"Are you with us sweetie?" My father asks
"Yeah...sorry" I say as I stand up and start to clear the table
"I'll help" Sebastian says
Me and him clean the table while our parents take care of the boys and bond with them a little.

Once back in the living room we sit down on the couch, Wyatt asleep in Anthony's arms while Nico happily bouncing up and down on my fathers knees
"What wrong with the two of you?" Georgetta asks
"Ten days ago we found a newborn girl in an alley way" Sebastian says
"Dear god..." my father mumbles
"I guess we've just been thinking about her, wondering how she's doing, if the police found family members..." I say
"Why don't you see if there's a way to know how she is doing?"
"Yeah...maybe it'll put your minds at ease" my mom says
"Maybe..."

It's only two days later and Seb and I are meeting with the officer we met when we found the baby
"Mr. And Mrs. Stan"
"Officer Reyes"
"They told me you had a few questions for me"
"Yeah...we were wondering how she's doing, if you found family members"
"As far as I know little Harper is doing just fine. She was kept at the hospital for three days to make sure she was ok and then social services took over"
"Harper...that's a nice name" Seb says
"And our researches are over, her father is dead, mother in prison, she left the baby after running from an armed robbery scene where she shot a costumer. She has no family left"
"Poor baby" I mumble as I feel Seb squeezing my hand
"She's lucky to still be here, she's healthy and now up for adoption, let's hope she gets a family soon"
"Thank you so much officer Reyes" I say
"No problem, you two have a good day"
"You too, and stay safe" Sebastian says

The drive back home was pretty much silent, as Seb drove through the traffic he kept holding my hand.
"What are you thinking?" He asks once we are in our bedroom changing
"I feel sorry for her..."
"Me too"
"Seb..."
"Yes doll?" He asks smiling at me
"Nothing..."
"No come on say it..." he says holding my face lovingly and drawing circles in my cheeks, and I knew he knows what I'm about to say
"Would it be so crazy if-"
"No, it would not, cause we're a good team, the best team and we can do it"
"I love you Sebastian"
"I love you too Kim"
