Today is the Fourth of July, of course we are celebrating it but we decided to be at home, just the four of us. We will have lunch with our parents tomorrow, but today it's just us. Nico and I have been up for the past two hours, I decided to let Kim sleep in a little so I also brought with me Wyatt who's still sleeping in the little cot we have in our living room. I made breakfast for the three of us, Nico just finished eating, I already ate and cleaned the kitchen so now I can clean up the mess Nico made on his high chair "Was it good?" "Mmm" "Yeah uh" I smile kissing his head before I clean up the mess. Then I take him out of his high chair and take his bib and t-shirt off and let him play on the floor in the living room as I gather the few little decorations i still need to put up in the yard. We've got a tiny pool where Nico can play in this afternoon, it's Fourth of July themed and there are little balls he can play with.
Half an hour later Wyatt wakes up and I feed him a bottle, Kim has been pumping some milk for these occasions. "Dada" "What baby?" I say looking at Nico who is crawling to me "Moo" "You want milk too?" I ask and he smiles at me and softly tugs on my shorts "I'll give you some in a second bud" After a few minutes I finished feeding Wyatt and after burping him and changing his diaper I lay him down in the baby swing and turn it on. I warm some milk form Nico, sit on the couch and feed him as he lays on my lap, one hand holding the bottle and the other playing with mine "I love you sweet boy" I whisper to him as I see his eyes starting to close. I have to admit he hasn't slept really good during the night so poor boy must be tired. I walk upstairs and lay him in his bed. I wake up Kim and let her eat breakfast as I put up the little pool and fill it with water. When I go back inside I see Kim snuggling up with our youngest "Cuties" I say as I walk past them "Handsome!" She says making me laugh

It's six pm now, we played in the backyard all day long, of course the kids took naps, well Wyatt does that most of the day, he's barely a month old...but his big brother had so much fun playing in the water. While the boys were resting Kim and I layed down in the sun and enjoyed some time reading and talking. I've got the grill going, we're having burgers tonight, Kim and I the classing one while Nico is going to have some meat and bread to eat on the side. As I wait for the meat to cook I look over the outside table and see Kim with Nico on her knees making him bounce up and down, I smile big at that, Nico looks at me and laughs waving his hand towards me "Hi baby!" I say sending them a kiss before turning to check on the dinner.

It's nine, the boys are both asleep in their beds. Kim and I cleaned up everything and are laying on the grass cuddled up together as we watch the fireworks exploding in the sky "I love you so much" she whispers laying her body on me, so that she's on my chest "I love you too, more than my life" I say kissing her nose first then her lips. She smiles in contentment before laying her head down on my chest, my hands rubbing up and down on her back. Perfect ending of the day...
