Sitting on the cushion seats of the large blue bus through the setting night, Hwayoung listened to music through her wired earphones, watching through the smudged windows of the moving surroundings.
The Song was on her way home from work.
Once she arrived at her stop, she tapped her transport card while bowing respectfully to the bus driver. Taking one side of the earphone out, leaving it hanging, she walked a bit before reaching her apartment.
She immersed herself into the dark lights, only a few people in her neighbour taking late night walks, or also returning from work.
"Why didn't you ask me to take you home? It's late."
"Because I'm a grown adult who can take the bus." She stuck her tongue out playfully while hanging the keys onto the key holder.
Jeonghan rolled his eyes, pulling out a few ingredients from the packed fridge. "Have you eaten yet?"
The Song shook her head, trailing back to her bed room to change and clean up, dropping her tote bag onto the floor and tying her hair into a low bun.
